I'm not sure we have enough to beat Georgia.
I keep seeing bama fans say this but I'm a bit surprised by the mindest. If this was september-bama then sure, but november-bama is very much a different animal compared to who we've played thus far.
Missouri and ole miss are the 2 best teams we've faced this year. Missouri was a tight one that we ended up hanging on by 9 after a late FG, and we killed ole miss. Both games were at home. Our toughtest opponent not in Athens was 2 days ago against UT who is honestly lucky to even be ranked. Bama may say this is going to be a gargantuan task to win but I mean this will clearly be our biggest test to date as well.

28% of the time in the past 3 years has Georgia played a ranked team in the regular season. WOW!

I think mainly because while the improvement has been fantastic and very evident, we have yet to really play a complete defense that can make life difficult for our offense. I don't think we have no shot, I'm just not really sure how good we are. Especially on offense. We're definitely better than we were, and I don't think the improvement is a mirage.....but it'll be a different task against Georgia. On top of that the UGA offense is going to score points because Beck is a machine right now, so the pressure will be on our offense to keep up. They've only really dealt with that once, and it was against LSU who is basically like playing against air.
I'm excited for the game, just really not sure what to expect.

This is just the beginning of King Kirby's reign, scary for the SEC for the next 20+ years...

We'll be there but no tailgaiting I don't think. Unfortunately kids have morning things so we'll be sprinting to MARTA to try to get down there in time.

I think if UGA had played the schedule you'll likely have next year, you probably have a loss by now. This current team is different from the one in weeks 1-4.
You might not be wrong. There were enough new moving parts on this team to suggest that UGA, in order to be great, was going to have to grow into greatness. The flip side of that coin is that, without the luxury of the schedule, maybe the team grows up faster out of necessity. We can't know, either way.
I won't be mad at this analysis.

Not really. It has to do with practice and player development. Smart and his staff develop their every star rated talent better than anyone. They develop supposed 3 stars (see Ladd Mc)into elite players often. They develop 4 & 5 stars to perform to their potential. Smart works their arse in practice and freshman, year after year, are earning spot playing time early in their freshman season and are typically huge contributors by year end. (See CJ Allen)They are seasoned veterans by their sophomore year. To get on the field for Kirby a player has to earn it on the practice field and film room. They have to be bought in to all fundamentals at their position. If not, they get passed up. (See Arian Smith.) And every potential contributor is ready by year end to step in and up. See the #12. That is how many players who caught passes from Beck on Saturday. He has a fine tuned machine humming over the last 3 seasons.

I don’t know if it’s because of Kirby, Monken, or Bobo, but someone deserves more credit for the absolute machine the offense has been the last couple years.
It’s not like we just have a few 5-stars that are dominating everyone. We just have 9-10 really solid skill position guys that can hurt you on offense. In fact, the only skill guys we have on offense that were Top 100 are Kendall Milton and MRJ.
Guys like Dillon Bell and McConkey weren’t even ranked by most recruiting services. I’m not sure if it’s a development thing or a talent identification thing but the fact we can just plug and play guys in the offense is a massive achievement, and not something I thought I’d see under Kirby after the first few years.

Yup - it's just a faceless machine of efficiency at each position group. Beck and Stetson, the OL, WRs who block everybody, run good routes and catch the ball, a bunch of hard running backs.
Personally, I think the biggest parts (besides a good scheme) is how consistently solid the OL is across the board in both the run and pass game, the QBs being ruthlessly accurate and smart (Stetson last year and Beck the last 3+ weeks) and then the ultimate get out of jail free card in Bowers basically as an added bonus.

I've honestly never heard it called good old fashioned hate. It's been clean for as long as I can remember.

I have always said “clean good old fashioned hate.”

Monken laid the groundwork and Bobo has picked up right where he left off. It really helps when you can promote from within so it's a seamless transition.

LSU has done more since the 80s
LSU has a few more losing seasons including a 2-9 stinker in 1992.
We both have 3 natties since 1980. I haven't taken the time to tally Win/Loss, but would imagine it's similar. UGA has 8 seasons of 10 wins or more in the last decade. LSU can make it 4 with two more wins this season.
It's been a longer run than you think my man

Beat Bama one time since 2007, that was when both WR's got injured. Playing on the weak side of the league.
Can you tell these guys are NOt used to winning anything? LOL
