He may have been our best coverage linebacker in 2022. His inability to blitz kept him off the field, though

Thats interesting, I think he's been pretty effective in his blitz opportunities YTD.

Jihaad Campbell is probably better at blitzing and has a much higher ceiling, but he's still learning the mental aspects of the game.

From what I've seen here people are grossly underestimating GA's ability to contain, as if we gave up 100 yds each to Brady Cook & Jaxson Dart.

I mean Kirby put the absolute clamps on Jayden Daniels and LSU last year so if anyone is going to confuse Milroe down the stretch my money is on UGA.

I'm not sure how Vegas sees it but to me these are the two best teams I've seen over the last few weeks and whoever wins should be the favorite for the NC.

If you really think this you are clueless.

Alabama’s receivers have been a strong point this season.

Isn't your WR1 the guy that got run out of Athens by Laddavius McConkey?

Good thing our defense gets to practice against the better WR group every day.

I think UGA is impressive it's just hard to gauge them against that schedule. Predictably rocky early, a lot smoother lately, but the competition/favorable home/away is really making it tough to compare.

Yea but the SEC championship game is a home game for them.

However, I do agree with what you said.

The key will be pressuring the QB. Our O-line has been rock solid lately.

There's always plenty of bama or lsu fans when they are in it against uga, it is not a home game.

Ole Miss was able to run the ball with a patchwork OL. Bama's has improved and continues to. They are bigger than most NFL teams and can matchup with UGA up front. they could be in real trouble.

This is one team that UGA cannot push around physically. If Georgia has problems running the ball and stopping the run they are in for a ball game.

He would be competing against Jamon Dumas Johnson, Smael Mondon, Jalon Walker, and Xavian Sorey for those opportunities to blitz.
And our true freshmen have flashed as well.

We are just another level of elite at linebacker (thank you Glenn schumann).

their leading rusher had 75 yards. Judkins is better than any RB bama has, and they also have a more consistent threat to pass than bama has.

Granted, as you mentiond, bamas' OL is better and their QB is a lot more of a consistent running threat than dart.

But I don't really think they gashed us on the ground or anything.

I feel good about our defense putting Bama in a position to win and am optimistic that we’ll move the ball. But Milroe has been at best inconsistent at limiting turnovers and taking what the defense gives him. In order to win, we’ll be asking him to do both against the best defense we’ve played

I did not say that they did, but they could run the ball you had to respect it. Bama is better up front, it's more of a RB by committee they can go 4 deep there plus Milroe.

Which of your 4 deep is better than Judkins?

I always thought Marshall's best strength was pass coverage.
He is a linebacker. So the bar is adjusted accordingly (don't expect him to play like a safety).
But he has good athleticism, instincts, and takes great jumps into lanes. Better than most other linebackers in college football.

It is the other stuff where he is average.

Marshall had a terrible play where he had Daniels at the 5 yard line and whirred on the tackle resulting in a TD. He read the play but hesitated and was a step slow and missed the tackle. He's also not very effective in pass coverage.
Lawson had an awful play in which he seemed to be spying Daniels on a key 3rd down play. For some reason, he tried to rush up the middle, promptly was blocked while Daniels ran outside and gained about 30 yards. Another play, he got juked out his shorts by Daniels but I won't hold that against him too much. Still, I don't think you would have seen some of our LB greats of the past miss an open field tackle like that.

To be fair, they did against Burrow.
