Saban to A&M?

Could a legendary coach with 6 NC's at Alabama be tempted by the extraordinary amount of money sure to be offered to A&M's next coach?
First off, it would be a fantastic chance for Saban to win a NC at another school in his waning years. Not many coaches win NC's at two different schools in their careers and the temptation for him to be able to achieve that may be a motivation.
Let's face it, Saban is a mercenary and only cares about money. He can't stay at one job for very long because he doesn't care about anything, really, other than money.
He has had jobs at 13 different institutions during his roving career, unlike any other coach ever in the history of college football.
Alabama fans wouldn't be upset; we would understand and wish him well. He has achieved his mission at Alabama and maybe it's time for him to lend his expertise to a potential powerhouse such as A&M.
He has no loyalty and if A&M did hire him, it would shake the foundations of the college football landscape. The only bigger coaching hire in college football history would have been when Saban lied and took the Alabama job.
He still has at least another good 5 years left in him, maybe more. Unlike at Alabama, he would be able to consistently have the best recruiting hauls each and every year due simply to the amount of money A&M would be able to offer recruits through various deals.
Let's be realistic; Saban could win at least another 2, maybe even 3 NC's at A&M. They need a stern taskmaster and Saban is nothing if not that.

Either great bait or immense ignorance.

Owl Gore, what you’ve just said is one of the most insanely idiotic things I have ever heard. At no point in your rambling, incoherent response were you even close to anything that could be considered a rational thought. Everyone in this room is now dumber for having listened to it. I award you no points, and may God have mercy on your soul.

You seem like a great poster, TeamJackson; I've just reviewed some of your exemplary posting history.
Back to Saban to A&M, it would be a match made in heaven. A&M is a rich, wild, rowdy, party happy team in the need of a strong, stern, powerful, and intelligent leader.
Money means absolutely nothing to A&M, it flows like water from a busted water pipe around those parts. And Saban cares about nothing but money and will always, always follow that money, to hell with any promises he has made.
He may say something like I will never be the coach at A&M and then, bam, he is the coach at A&M. It's a tricky situation.

No, I'm not retarded. You don't think coaches dream of winning NC's at two different institutions?
This would be a once in a lifetime opportunity for Saban to achieve something very few college football coaches have ever achieved.

But USC won the 03 national championship?

Why would he tarnish his legacy like that?
Coaches leave A&M for Alabama to win national championships.
Coaches leave Alabama to A&M to be forgotten. Like what's his name.

Just because there's a job opening doesn't mean you have to make asinine threads. You could just leave it be....that IS an option you know.

I don't think so. Of course, Saban would demand total control over all football related operations, period.
He would basically be the athletic director of the football team. This enables him to stamp out bad tendencies of boosters, admin, and fans alike.
Alabama fans want nothing but the best for A&M with our rich history and this coaching change reversal would be just another brick in the wall of our shared experience.
