Maybe Aggie gets serious about wanting a Natty and offers up a $25,000,000 per year guaranteed 10-year contract to Kirby. He's still relatively young and is a proven commodity.

How do you fire a coach after a blowout win? Did they look like shite last night while doing it?

Jimbo is a drunk scumbag and he has 75 million reasons to make this transaction as easy as possible.

Monumentally stupid decision by aTm. Bad for them from financial stewardship perspective and bad for the game of CFB. This will do nothing but drive up the price of coaching contracts and sustain ridiculous buyout provisions.

A&M - you are idiots.

Just saw this.

Can’t believe it took so long.
It was odd timing. Fire him after blowing out someone. That means they already knew they was.

They must have just sured up their next coach.

It’d be hilarious after he beat them a couple of times.

Meh…..he’d struggle to do that. Even if he was coaching the Chiefs.

What it was that Jimbo proved he could coach but it proved he didn't do his best to win the games he should have won. That was justified but it took so long and a lot of money to do so. Now Texas A&M must've found someone else that would get the job done. I am thinking Brian Kelly or someone similar to him if that is the case then that would be another blow to Texas A&M.

LSU fans best beware. I can see a similar situation happening in BR with Brian Kelly in a few years.

Aggie will have paid about $2.6 million per win during the Jimbo era when the contract is paid in full

That would be classic aTm.

Hire another flashy name you’re going to pay tens of millions in buyout to in three or four years.

How old is Jimbo? Would think anyone could retire with 75M in the check book if in his 50's even. Didn't he buy a ranch in the College Station area?

I would just sit back and watch the cars go by… why would he really want to go coach somewhere else and all that pressure???

He could take another job and Aggy still owes him 100% according to this.
