Over the last 12 seasons (2012-2023)
- 1 season with less than 3 losses (2019)
- 2 top 10 finishes (2018, 2019)
- 8 top 25 finishes
- 62-34 in the SEC (65%) (average season of 5-3)
Over the previous 12 seasons (2000-2011)
- 6 seasons with less than 3 losses
- 7 top 10 finishes
- 10 top 25 finishes
- 69-27 in the SEC (72%) (average season of 6-2)
Only having 1 season with less than 3 losses is really the one that shocked me. Granted, if you are going to have a season with less than 3 losses, might as well make it an all timer season like LSU did in 2019.

Great work. Does this include bowl games?

OP conveniently leaves out the part about LSU having the undisputed, greatest college football team of all-time.
LSU is also undefeated against Alabumma in front of sitting US Presidents.
No, we will not be your rival.

there's 11 teams in the sec that would take that instead of what they've had during the same stretch.
Tennessee, Ole Miss and maybe A&M fans will talk shite in this thread

This may seem like a homer analysis but I think it is simple as the level of competition improved in the West.
Between 2000-2011 many years LSU's biggest competition in the West was Houston Nutt's Arkansas. Between 2012-2023, LSU's biggest competition in the West is Nick Saban's Alabama.
Not taking anything away from those aughts LSU teams. They were incredibly talented teams but it is probably worth 7 more conference wins over a 12 year period if the traditional power of the division is down a bit over most of that period.

Don't forget about every single win from 2012-2015 being vacated for cheating. And LSU posters have always told me that's what matters and not what happened on the field.

3/4 of the league would take an average conference record of 5-3 over 24 years in a heartbeat. I'm not ashamed of that at all, especially playing Bama and Florida every year.

Most all of this has to do with Les Miles. 0 top 10 finishes from 12 to 15. Fired in 16. O had 2 top 10 from 17-21.
