I felt worse this morning

After watching the game last night I was disappointed that we did not pull off the win, but i thought we showed really well and definitely saw some bright spots and building blocks for the season.
We were playing a so called Top 20 team.
Then I work up this morning and I started to get pissed off. Started thinking about how we were up 9 at the half and how we dominated for the first 36:30 minutes of the game. Only to get outscored 17-5 to end the game.
We blew a chance for a great Quad I win at a neutral site.

We lost the first game to the #7 Kenpom team at a neutral site. Sucks we blew it, but they were fun as hell to watch for 37 minutes

The talent on this team looks similar to 2019, but the spirit and comradeship hasn't reached the boiling point just yet.

This loss will pay way more dividends than an easy cupcake opener and non-con schedule. We learned a lot about this team last night.

I felt worse after listening to BP's post game comments. He was not happy, not at all.
We looked quite good and it was a game played with tournament intensity, but it was also a missed opportunity to beat a good team with a jerk for a coach. And we did not take advantage of the opportunity.

I hate that we gave that game away but it showed that this year's team will be able to play with anyone.

Baylor shot 26 free throws in the 2nd half, 13 in the last 5 minutes to Auburn's ZERO.
Tough to overcome playing against 8.

Didn't we shoot like 50% in the first half..
Yeah, that's not gonna hold up..
I felt good at the half. Had a 9 point lead and momentum. Baylor coming out in the 2nd and curb stomping us for the first bit really took a lot out of that momentum...
We looked good. 3 pt shooting looked so much better than last year. Looks like our transfers may fill that spot nicely. Defense played aggressive and had some good TOs.
Team looked dang good for the first game.
