I did not see the LSU game last night but was sitting in a bar watching Georgia and Missouri. I think Missouri was up 17-14 or 17-13. Georgia throws a pass and Missouri is flagged for PI. There was no PI on that play. The next play Georgia runs for a TD and it was basically game over.

I am not saying Missouri was going to win the game, but that call swung momentum to Georgia. The official made a bad call and it cost Missouri an opportunity to win.

Lot's of bad calls. It's just a part of the game.

NFL teams get screwed. You can make the argument Oklahoma got screwed out of a non-call PI in the endzone, yesterday.

There was a lot of time left for Missouri to respond. That's on them.

The officiating in that game was shite. There was a call on us for PI that was total bullshite that also resulted in a Mizzou score so it sucked both ways. Our defender was running behind the receiver, put both hands in the air and the pass hit him in the back.

There was also a PI called on our running back when Beck rolled right and threw the ball away at a receiver’s feet….followed by a 10 minute review to see if the ball went past the LOS.

Those officials were horrible. They made bad, head scratching calls both ways.

Semantics and all, but this never happened. They were at one point up 13-10.

You are probably correct, just saw a total momentum switch after the call

I thought it bounced off his helmet?

Refs were godawful all the way around in the Georgia game.

The calls definitely benefitted UGA more, Mizzou still could've won but that 3rd down PI call that was extremely late, uncatchable, and thrown into triple coverage was a huge momentum swing. Followed up by them calling OPI on GA the next play, and then UGA asked them to review it, and they called it off due to the ball not going far enough... It was just a bizarre turn of events and looked very fishy

There were three interferences on that same play by the same player. You just see what you want to see

That call should have been defensive holding, not PI, as the defender had grabbed Delp’s jersey with both hands and was keeping him from trying to get to the ball. However, the most egregious foul on that play was Beck throwing the ball to the guy tripled coveraged rather than the guy standing all by himself 15 yards away in the center of the endzone. MRJ was wide open on that play.
I honestly don’t understand how a guy that is 6’4” sees downfield less well than the guy who was 5’11”. He just has tunnel vision out there. I think that is why so many of his balls are batted down as well.

You're thinking of the other crucial 3rd down PI call. I'm talking about the later one with about 10 mins left in the 4th quarter - right before they called off the OPI. It was not even a catchable ball

There was another call in Mizzou's favor when the refs ruled a catch while the Mizzou receiver was bobbling the ball and landed out of bounds.

Bad officiating all day yesterday. Same as it ever was in the SEC.

The early PI call on Humphrey on 3rd down early in the game was a war crime. This game was very poorly officiated both ways.

The officiating was horrendous from start to finish on both sides with erroneous calls and no calls but this one wasn’t even close to the OPI that was called….they had no idea what the foul was in real time only that something had to be wrong. After completely disrupting the flow of the game and taking the crowd out of it they concluded no foul at all occurred.

It is time that CFB officials were full time professionals and not the cobbled crew structure used for pee wee football. CFB is a multi billion $ a year business and fully 1/3 of its most important workforce is paid nearly nothing and has almost no training given the shitty calls they all make week in and week out. It isn’t part of the game, there is nothing comforting and nostalgic about it….at best it’s a situation that begs for corruption and at worst one the tolerates abysmal performance because the price is right.
