At State.. they are going to be happy going 8-3. Not nearly as much pressure as at Auburn.

They'd be happy at 6-6 and going to the Indy. Bowl.

So when he gets there they will drop a game from the regular season?

Not going to happen. State is a graveyard.

I can't see him going there because it will feel like a demotion for him. If the guy at Miami doesn't cut it... who knows.. Tubby could end up back there. Didn't he coach at Miami?

AU Poster just said that Tubby isn't planning on doing anything quote "stressful" for a while
the MSU rumor is false apparently
He is getting 6 million to walk

I could live "stress free" for "a while" on 6 million.

Tubby isn't going to that dump of a town, Starkvegas. He has way too many teeth.

Is one game going to be played in secrecy?

Why would he go from Ole Miss to Auburn to MS St. A career man would try to improve each time he/she changes jobs, not go to a job below where they were at square one, imo

Well, there aren't that many jobs open right now that fit Tubbs. He may have to sit out a year to get a plum job. However, if he went to state and pulled a Nutt this year or went 7-5 in his first year, he would be the savior at MSU. And within two years could have them a consistent winner. He could then get any job in the country after that kind of turnaround.

The man was once the manager of a catfish restaurant! Let's not make him out to be a sophisticate too good for sleepy little Starkville!

It's hard to improve from job to job when you get fired.

Tubby to Washington? pardon the pun!

I think Derek Dooley from La Tech to Miss St is more likely than Tub

Everybody in the CF world thought this move was stupid. In Jackson, sports radio heads were blasting Auburn. And even OM fans called in calling them stupid losers which i thought was ironic in itself.

yes it is hard to improve situation afrer unceremoniosly leaving a position. however, we live in a coaching age of high expectations. exhibit "a" is lane kiffin. now, he has one of the best college coaching jobs, over the worst nfl job, and he will make more money. tubb. will fall into a good coaching job, perhaps one of the many nfl jobs that will open up next year
