re: How hot is Jay Johnson’s seat?

He’s not on the hot but he’s got to be beat better next year and make it to the postseason next year. Then, he needs to be in Omaha in ‘08. If not, people will begin to question if he’s a fluke.

So you believe none of the Freshman or Arrambide are good at all?

Arrambide is decent.

Pearson needs to go. Hs’s a fly ball machine. It may have been been How Auburn waa pitching them.

They were essentially the only two good players on the field for LSU. Losing Brown hurt them and Cerna. Johnson has a major rebuild for next year.

Agree with you on your comment on Johnson.

You are far from the only idiot, but the quantity at which you spew complete stupidity is higher than most

And plz give me your educated example of stupidity. I bet i didnt dowm to the greatest coach in history of baseball; Johnson.
This is a FREE board. I come on here to talk sports. I’ve seen other people worse than me. But I have been singled out.

don’t stand with this team or this lousy coach

I post from tonight from someone else. Did you point them out.
TIgerMac

I bet you I have more education than you.

We aren’t going to have multiple 1st rounders or Skenes at starting pitching every year, or in the bullpen for that matter. Henceforth, we need to pursues pitchers who can locate and pitch to contact rather than guys that have great stuff and can rack up strikeouts, but at the same time can’t locate and will get absolutely touched at times.

Be careful; you can’t be critical on this board. Temder ears will be offended.
If someone EVER offers criticism on here y’all think he hates the team or coach. It doesn’t mean that. I willl say Johnson needs to learn that pitching is as important as hitting.

Sad to see LSU season end this way

Posted by GA Tiger on 5/15/26 at 8:26 pm
Been following LSU baseball since the early days of Skip. This has been a TOUGH year. My sons were giving me a trip to Omaha this year. We are still going but it will be different.

Scott's hire fell through at the last minute and he needed a big name fast. He looked the other way with Brian Kelly and hired the name instead of the coach.

Yep!

Son, I hope you are eight and I’m sure that all of y’all are gonna jump all over my arse for this post. That’s your prerogative. I have never seen people so enamored with a coach. J. is not Jesus. He don’t pull rabbits out of a hat and he doesn’t raise the dead.
A cording to a post by Espn: LSU is last in the SEC in pitching with an ERA of .532.

When you say pitching, what stat are you referencing? Because “pitching” isnt a stat

ERA
Johnson ought to:
1) Fimd the 3 best pitching coaches in the countru and throw a boat-load of money at them.
2) Do the same with pitchers. Earl Weaver once said “Good pitching beats good hitting every time.
