I called that play brutha…
But seriously, why would any OC join this shite show in the off season? You have to let Pittman go, or hire Bobby away from A&M and say this your team after the year.

That's almost as bad as hiring Jim Chaney again

Probably but that’s the only way you are getting an OC. Make them coach in waiting.
I wouldn’t come in for a coach on the hottest of seats.

I love that gif. Sad thing is, all three in that gif could be a representative of the Hog fan base, if Petrino was re-hired (it won't happen). 2/3's of our fan base would be appalled at the hire.
I'd be the dude in the back.

But so many Gus fans

Isn't Petrino barred from ever working for UA ever again? If so, why do people keep bringing up his name? I mean, I miss winning, too, but it's not going to happen.

It is an SEC opening. There will be interest

More like make way for Kevin Kelley, who has practically been begging and campaigning for the job since Enos was hired.
And I must say... it could be intriguing

He should be on the staff, in some capacity. Whether that be an analyst, or whatever. Guarantee you he's sharper and could make our offense better than anyone we currently have on staff.
If I were him though, I wouldn't hitch my wagon to this current regime. It's got a dead man walking feel to it.

I was listening to him railing on the offense for about 30 minutes straight on the radio a couple weeks ago, he was just flabbergasted at the playcalling and style of offense they were playing with a bad Oline. He listed about 15 ways he'd change things up in the offense to work around a bad Oline and was extremely confused why they weren't trying any of the known tricks and ways to make an offense work with one.
During this same broadcast he said he's actually written letters and talked to people about being on the staff, let Pittman know, and would jump if they called him up.
It was an interesting hour of radio. Just all the things he said they should be doing differently and how he would change this and that convinced me he would be worth a consideration. He went into depth

All of this may be true... And Probably is, however.. I can promise you this, Kevin Kelley has never heard a thing that Kevin Kelly has said, without absolutely loving it.
Dude is cringe ... I can handle cringe if we are winning however. But there is a reason he isn't on a major college staff.

I am not advocating for Kelley in any way and actually think the parallels between Nutt/Gus and Pittman/Kelley would lead to the exact same outcome.
I just think it would be interesting; and while it would most likely blow up in spectacular fashion there is a small chance it could actually work. Neither Pittman or Kelley have anything to lose at this point so it's not like it matters.
But when it comes to the question of "what OC would hitch their wagon to a sinking ship for one year?" there IS an answer that could potentially be genius or a total disaster.

How did that work out for Chad Morris OC?
Isn’t he selling cars now?
