Somewhere I read that since Bediako was on a student visa, he was ineligible for NIL money and that was basically why he went pro. Does anyone know for sure how NIL works for someone on a student visa.

It has to do with their student visa limitations. They're very limited in what they can earn in t US but others are getting around this by funneling money through overseas companies. Kentucky got Shaedon Sharpe and Oscar Tshiebwe overseas NIL deals and UCONN had a women's BB player get one with Adidas' Canada group.
Alabama could have done the same for Bediako. I very seriously doubt he left because of NIL money. I strongly suspect it was because he either was just ready to go or followed some really bad advice.

And Reggie King is the only one of those who played before the 3 pt line. He wouldn't have shot them but it would certainly have opened up the middle for him. He earned the name "Mule," an absolute beast around the goal.

“We’ll do our best over these next four days to get the guys’ legs back under them. We’re not gonna practice [Tuesday]. We’re gonna try to get their confidence back with their shooting. We’re trying to get the No. 1 offense in the country back while maintaining — I saw somewhere we had the 38th-best defense in the last week. If we didn’t take our foot off the gas against Charleston like we did when we got up 31, I think it would be closer to top 20.
“So if you could combine a top-20 defense and the No. 1 offense, you’ve got a chance to make a Final Four run.”

This is not true. He was born in Chicago, he has dual citizenship.

He left because of bad advice. He wasn’t on a student visa, NIL wasn’t an issue.
