Well the Longhorns got punched in the face again and we’re on their heels from the word go…ugh.

Overall it was a hell of a game, congrats on the win and looking forward to a rematch.

Outplayed and outcoached, OU's OC Lebby called one helluva game. Looking forward to another shot at them.

Hats off to OU and Venables, very impressive turnaround in year two.

Because that worked out so well when our fans said the exact same thing in 2019 and 2021...

Agreed with the rest of the post - it was one hell of a game, and the sooners were far more deserving of the win. Much hungrier team that made the plays when it mattered most.

It was a great game. Both teams beat the shite out of eachother. Haven’t seen big 12 teams play like that since 2009. In the end it came down to the LOS battle and that goal line stand.

From a football standpoint, it was indeed a classic.

Next October in the Cotton Bowl Stadium? LOL.

Really, we should meet again in Arlington this December. Sooners and Horns have to take care of business though.

With the rest of the conference being a bit down...

There is a good chance for this to occur assuming neither the Sooners and the Horns don't have a hiccough.

What is bad for the Ranters though...

Is that both teams look like they are competitive with the upper echelon of the SEC with only Georgia being clearly better.

Sark never said anything about winning the game , he just wanted them to “have fun”.

I’d have to agree with this, OU came in with a far more aggressive mind set.

Lol yes I hate this "aw shucks, OU is just another game on the schedule, i hope the kids have fun" attitude. Mack Brown esque.

Gabriel was excellent but we knew he would be. But I did not expect OU's DL to totally violate our OL. That goal line stand was hard to watch as a Texas fan.

I'm going to have to rewatch the game in full. It's one of my personal must watch rivalry games every year, I was kinda bummed our game was at the same time. I tried to flip over during commercials as much as I can but it appears I still missed out on a lot of another classic installment of the series.

I mean, it was a close game throughout.

People might've put too much stock in that 49-0 blowout last year.

Orange slices for everybody... it's just another game...have fun

While ventables has been over there steaming from last year, hate fricking his wife with a burnt orange dildo. Every year it seems like Oklahoma comes in pissed off and full of piss and vinegar. While Texas is just ho hum, another game. Why can't we have a coach who absolutely hates Oklahoma with the burning of 1000 suns? Ventables is that guy. Sark is not. The goal line stand was the example. They just wanted it more. Plain and simple. One day I would like to see a Texas team that was mean and pissed off like Oklahoma was Saturday. But it will probably never happen.

Same reason Stoops teams always had the edge over Mack's: line of scrimmage and turnovers.

With few exceptions, OU typically is much stronger on the LOS and forces more turnovers in the cotton bowl. Venables understood that assignment while he was DC under Stoops, and clearly understood the same two days ago.

Good game, y'all deserved the hat more this year no doubt

What does a one loss Big 12 champ -Assuming UT manages just one loss and beats OU in a rematch - get with 3 undefeated conference champs or even 4? If the other power 5 conference champ has one loss and that team is from the SEC Texas is looking at what, a cotton bowl bid? Sugar Bowl?

Name who?

You don't see how there could be undefeated champs from the B10, ACC, SEC, and PAC?
