LOL

Criticize the conference leader in nearly every statistical category, but nothing about the worst defense in the league? Interesting.

I think he will be like Les Miles

Perennially 8-4 to 10-2. Even Miles championship team had 2 losses

He's a meadoker [sic] coach. He's going to need to follow the Yaw Yaw, Bilbo Fisher, Blockhead Chizik, and Mack "Butterteeth" Brown path of generational QB + strong defense to ever get over the hump.

So far he has neither of those things....

But I don’t think he can win a championship.

If yaw-yaw can win a championship - even Butch Jones could win one

maybe

a life championship anyway

I made up my mind about him long before he was hired at LSU. Was not a good hire by that program.

Who would've been a better hire?

I think Aranda would have had a leg up on understanding the culture and relating to the kids

I saw Les Miles play for 2 NC's and win one, and I saw Ed O win one. Then I saw BK win the West in his first year with a transfer QB and a bare cupboard. I'm still cautiously optimistic. So we're not winning the West this year - I don't think that's the end of the world. It's sad to me that we're wasting Jayden Daniels' talents in a season we have no defense but that's just the way it is. What will next year look like? What will an LSU team look like if it can lock down recruiting Louisiana like Les and Ed did?

I still like our trajectory even if this is a down year. If the wheels come off, it'll be a different story but I still have hope over the next few seasons.

LSU kind of recruits itself, but I always wondered how well BK would recruit the south. It’s nothing against him, he just has that “arrogant yankee prick” vibe to him. Not all Yankees have it, but it’s pretty common among those that are successful.

Possibly but Aranda doesn't exactly look like a great head coach right now either.

People want to trash the Kelly hire in retrospect, but there weren't really many other viable options.

LSU had 39 scholarship players and a program in disarray, you can't throw some first time head coach into that mess and expect a good outcome.

Daniels is playing as well as any QB in the country.

They said Aranda, Tucker and Napier were the best candidates.

You can't seriously believe that Baylor and LSU are similar in drawing elite athletes

They also aren't facing the same level of competition.

I'm not saying Aranda wouldn't have succeeded but there's nothing to make me think he would've been any better.

27-36 for 414 yards and 4 TDs vs Ole Miss. Yeah he sucks.

Most coaches aren't good. He is an excellent coach.

He's probably not elite. But he wins everywhere he goes.

If it was easy to do that, coaches wouldn't get fired right and left.

of the parade of items that are hurting LSU Football, Daniels isn't one of them. The kid balls out every week. His only bad "look" against the Rebs was his fumble on the scramble when he should have slid down. Yes, it's become a funny meme but Daniels is one of the top QBs of the SEC and in the nation.

and he's not the first coach to ride the coattails of great QB play.
