Also that run game went for 300 yards nearly last year w/ Milroe as QB.

they “appear” to have fixed their defense against the rush.. the key this year imo is the downfield passing..

Jefferson only threw one all game (I think) and it was a TD..

The deep ball is the key to beating them. Connect on a couple and maybe Durkin goes into his 3 man DL to try and stop it.. then it’s open season.

TAMU has definitely improved since they played Miami.

and Alabama has certainly improved since the Texas game.

Will be a great game.

I’m sorry, what?

Take out the Miami game (almost half our passing yards in one game and where there seems to have been massive lessons learned) and we are #1 by a significant margin.

Secondary is the weakness. Arkansas and Auburn couldn't take advantage while Miami could, because neither QB could hit the broad side of a barn. Ole Miss and Tennessee are going off like a pinball machine against that group.

Odd premise. It was basically a one-score deficit for most of the game, until the 4th quarter.

Have the Aggies improved since then? Hard to say. The front-7 defense has looked MUCH better, but that may be a matter of the competition they faced.

I would be lying if I said that I wasn’t a little worried about this game.
I have seen improvements from aTm

TAMU's secondary is LSU level bad.

Maybe, but their defensive line is good and our offensive line has been suspect this season. If they can get pressure on Milroe consistently, their secondary doesn’t have to be great.

THIS RIGHT HERE.

A good passing team should be able to expose A&M’s defense.

See the Sark game plan against Alabama to see how a team can make a good DL basically worthless. Get the ball out quick.. mix in some deep balls occasionally to keep them honest.

Alabama’s D is similar to A&M’s in a lot of ways.

Goal is to bend, but not break.
Great DL

You have to be patient and take what they give you.. and figure out a way to exploit the matchups. A&M secondary has holes. They may not be big holes.. but that’s the way to do it.

The same is true on the other side.

Alabama vs A&M is a pretty even matchup imo.

I don’t know much about Tennessee.. but I think that will be an interesting matchup. Ole Miss as well.

You'd also have the fewest pass attempts vs y'all, by a significant margin. What a coincidence.

Not the same team,

I know. Last year BAMA had a Pete Golding defense, and Aggie still couldn't win.

Milroe won’t be able to exploit that with Aggie DL breathing down his neck every time he drops back. Milroe runs right into sacks. I won’t be shocked if Aggie has 8 or 9 sacks Saturday.

I mean, the only two OLines in the SEC worse than Bama's are Arkansas and Auburn, so hard to say how great the A&M Dline is. Milroe takes a lot of sacks no matter who he plays.

Gashed UGA for more rushing yards than UGA had given up in like 5 years. And the barn is as one-dimensional as it gets on offense. And their o-line is worse than BAMA's?
Drugs. Are. Bad.

That being said, BAMA's defense is playing well. The offense is still trying to figure it out. 24 points will win the game for BAMA.

Yeah? I didn't know y'all had played yet this year. I mean there are a lot of differences in the teams from last season and this season. Bryce Young for one, and there are plenty of others. And last year y'all beat Texas.

I am not saying A&M will beat Alabama. But you'd better hope your team is not thinking along the same lines as you. Your offense plays into the A&M strength.

Last year Milroe passed for 111 yards. If he does that again, A&M will beat you. You won't rush for 286 yards this year.

In their defense if they played a cupcake they’d be undefeated and people would be hyping them up. I think they are pretty solid and am nervous about playin them, I think they give Bama a tough time but ultimately lose

Welp... BY didn't play vs Aggie last year. So there's no real difference there. That's why Milroe is 1-0 as a starter vs Aggie and he turned it over three times.
And there are differences. BAMA's defense isn't saddled with Pete Golding as D-coordinator, and is already light years better than last year's crew.
Milroe is gonna Milroe. He's gonna throw for 200ish and rush for 80ish. We will get 80-90 yards from Jase and 60-70 yards from Roydell.
Aggie will turn it over, and BAMA will win this game in the neighborhood of 37-20. It'll be close for a half. Aggie scores late garbage TD to make it looks quasi-respectble.
