Jalen Milroe went from a top 10 Heisman candidate to losing his job.

Who knows... This may be a turning point like in 2015 when Bama benched Bateman for Coker. Just glad they're doing this now. Hoping to see a fire from the team from all the shite being talked to them by the media, fans, and former players all week.

Not wanting anything spectacular... just hope to see Buchner make good decisions and move the football. Gain confidence going into Ole Miss. Now if he goes out there and throws 3 INTs, bring on Simpson or the freshman.

Hopefully next year the offseason, spring, and fall camp will be enough time for the staff to identify a competent QB that is not a turnover machine.

How bad must Ty Simpson be in practice to never even be mentioned in these discussions

Just hope Buchner can at least make some accurate intermediate throws and keep the defense honest

Who will the fans blame if Buchner doesn't look sharp?

I'm okay with this. his experience with Rees and understanding his system makes him a much more logical starter. I'm surprised this wasn't done before, tbh

Buchner runs this Rees RPO offense the best on the team. He is a solid short to mid-range passer, with some occasional ropes. He should likely be able to throw better screen passes than Milroe. Unfortunately, his deep ball is pretty awful, as was seen aginst MTSU.

I do not think Milroe is done this year at all, but I hope Buchner balls out and Bama wins big and I hope we use Milroe's athleticism in the game as well.

As a believer in Milroe throughout spring and summer, he’s done. Even without the two horrible interceptions he just isn’t ready to play high level P5 football. Rooting for the guy but the breakdown videos and post from ppl much smarter than me show how far he has to go. Given the circumstances, last week was worse than the a&m game imo.

Right??

The good news is that Milroe is the last "dual threat" QB on our roster + incoming class

Milroe couldn’t hit a wide open swing route to McClellan.
