Per 247 Sports:

quote:

Which universities have the most generous athletics boosters? According to total cumulative “donations and contributions” findings from 2005 through the 2022 season via USA Today and the Knight Commission, programs who receive the most from generous donors tend to have a heightened advantage against others through recruiting success, coaching prestige, facility enhancements and other upgrades.
Only public universities were included in the findings since their financials are public.

1. Oregon $969 million

2. Texas A&M $849 million

3. Texas $766 million

4. Florida $763 million

5. Georgia $716 million

6. Oklahoma State (thanks T Boone) $670 million

7. LSU $618 million

8. Oklahoma $597 million

9. Auburn $580 million

10. Florida State $540 million

1,2,3,6,9,10 apparently need even more money, and 4 & 8 must have gotten most of their money 10 years ago

The rankings are bogus. LSU should be given a lot more credit.

Mark 12:44 and all that.

Isn’t Johnny responsible for like $720M of our donations? Dang that Heisman raised a lot of money.

Kansas and Louisville surprise me

Nebraska being 42 below even the Mississippi schools is shocking considering their level of fan support

I think that guy at Northwestern probably makes the list. Thought he just gave 1/2 billion to 1 billion to his alma mater.

Mizzou, Arkansas, and Memphis would get more money, but the Walton’s like to spread their money around and for some reason spend it on academics. Just about any school you go to in Missouri will have a building with a Walton name on it.
