Salt Lake City's elevation (4,300 ft) could be problematic for the Gators

Utahns are used to the elevation, but a lot of athletes have problems with it when coming from places with much lower elevation, such as Gainesville, Florida (elevation 177 feet).
This is Florida's first road trip to play an OOC opponent in 32 years and the opponent is a good one at that.
Will be interesting to see how the Gators respond. I think this game will be close and wouldn't be surprised to see the Gators win; still, Utah's very good and when you throw in the altitude to go with their attitude, I can't help but forecast a Utah win over Florida.
The USC Trojans have had trouble in the past with the altitude when playing Utah in SLC as the Trojans have a losing record there at 3-5 all-time. Overall, the Trojans are 13-9 vs. Utah. Last year, USC lost 43-42 in SLC.

I honestly have no idea what to expect from Florida this season. Pretty sure they won't be great, but not sure how good or bad they will be.

I think it’ll come down to coaching and Utah has a massive advantage.

I've lived here for 20+ years. A couple of years ago, I had some health issues and had some blood drawn and the results were sent to a specialist on the east coast. The first thing they noticed was my hemiacrit was 56% which is above the normal range for males.
It will have an effect, but well trained athletes should be able to deal with the extra stress. Hope UF is bringing extra oxygen bottles.
On the flip side, the weather will be in the low 80's with 15-20% humidity tomorrow at kickoff. Basically perfect football weather. It will be much less stressful on the body than the normal high temps and high humidity that UF is used to.
ETA: The University is "on the bench" and is 300-400' higher than SLC proper. The elevation of Rice-Eccles Stadium is approximately 4,700'.

It’s effectively 14% less* oxygen than at sea level. Regardless, football is not an activity that hinges on aerobic capacity and I would not expect the altitude to make a big difference for UF. I’m assuming UF will spend as little time at altitude as possible to minimize the effect on ancillary factors like sleep and appetite.

UF is planning on arriving in Utah from Dallas later today to minimize exposure

You want to spend MORE time at altitude. The body begins to adjust (producing more red blood cells) in as little as a day or two. I used to be in the ski industry and they taught us that proper hydration minimizes the effect of altitude. We told our clients to drink water and lots of it if they were struggling with altitude.
Operating in 10-20 second bursts of activity, football is primarily anaerobic. VO2 max decreases approximately 10% for every 1000 m of altitude, starting at 1500 m, so SLC is right on the cusp of causing problems for athletes. The issue becomes the oxygen available to the muscles and how quickly they recover between plays (sets). Depending on how quickly each athlete is adapted/trained, short term hypoxia could be an issue for the UF players. That can be mitigated with supplemental O2 between plays and series.

Humidity was a problem for Utah last year. That's part of what makes this an interesting series.

No one gives a shite about USC. Even USC fans don't care. Watch how badly they're outnumbered in their home stadium the first time Ohio State, Michigan, Penn State, or Wisconsin goes out there.

This is about right.
Added like 25 four stars in last class so that's nice. Also a new defensive coordinator so i hope that gets a lot better.
The run game should be good with 2 good backs returning.

It's literally the most pressing issue. Especially with their two best players on offense out, one of which is their linchpin Quarterback .
