Just got a peek at our schedule for next year. We should definitely be 6-0 rolling into Death Valley

Pete, you can tell me if this is accurate or not but I heard Georgia is contacting and offering Judkins a sizable chunk of money. They asked him not to enter the portal so he doesn’t get contacted by every coach across the country. They’re apparently trying to keep it low key

You have to imagine these coaches that have all worked together and like each other have a little bit of an honor code working. If a player from Bama isn't getting playing time and wants to transfer and enters the portal, it's fair game since he is going somewhere. Doubt Kiffin would have people reaching out to a star Bama player trying to offer him money to leave. Would think it would be similar with Kirby. If Judkins decided to enter the portal on his own and UGA won the bid, don't think anyone can be mad. If things are happening the way you describe, hard to believe Kiffin wouldn't blast Smart and UGA publically on that. Not saying there aren't coaches who are doing this and I'm sure we are doing it ourselves, but I would have to believe there is some kind of unwritten rule and expectations between some of these coaches that like and respect each other that they won't tamper with each other's players

I feel like the opposite is true. You know bad actors are going to be everywhere and the conference isnt isolated from other schools.... so tbh, if Kiffin and the GC aren't also pulling stunts like this to make other schools pony up, theyre not playing the game at a competitive level

Is it not illegal to contact a player if they are not in the portal? Given our history players would definitely snitch on us.

Which one are you referring to? There’s been so many different leaks

Everyone tampers with each other. That’s just the unfortunate truth with the portal. The worst ones I’ve heard about doing it to us are Tennessee, LSU, and Auburn.

Yeah that’s it. Wasn’t aware it was all over. Should be 6-0 rolling into LSU. Replacing Daniels for them will be challenging. Not scared of the team, but I am scared of Baton Rouge. If we can somehow fend them and Oklahoma off, Georgia rolls into oxford and we’re both undefeated. Regardless, I think that’s a 10-2 schedule next year which gives us a shot at the playoff. If we can get this penn st win, we will have a considerable amount of hype, and might even be ranked in the top 10 heading into the season.

Rebs have won twice in Baton Rouge since the turn of the century.

Are you saying that's a good thing or a bad thing?

I have never seen lane hit the recruiting trail like this in my life. The Georgia game was a big wake up call that G5 depth pieces are serviceable but will never get us to where we want to be at the end of the day. Now he’s going after players from big programs

Neither. I'm saying it's a very tough place to play.

It could be because he wasn't all in before.

Hearing that he is recruiting really hard now makes me feel better about him being here long term. Because my initial thought about him using the portal so much was because he was trying to do just enough to get hired somewhere else.

I think our collective stepping up in a huge way has helped make him feel better about staying here on a more permanent basis. At least until Bama opens up.

It's funny, our defensive recruiting is the best it's ever been. Offense is concerning me though
