What would said refusal to back down look like exactly? I am curious. Please give examples.

STABBED THROUGH THE HEAD WITH A FLAGPOLE -- Man arrested for Maiming at Tulsa Hills
On 8/2/2023 around 7:30 p.m., Officers were called out to the Sonic at Tulsa Hills on 81st St in reference to a stabbing.
When Officers arrived, they found the male victim with a flagpole through his head. The pole entered the victim's head beneath his jaw and exited the other side of his head near his right temple area. The American Flag was still attached the pole at the time.
Multiple witnesses said they saw the suspect, identified as Clinton Collins, charge at the victim and stab him with the flagpole through his head.
The witnesses said they also heard Collins say, "That's what he gets. He deserved it."
Officers quickly took Collins into custody when they arrived on the scene.
Firefighters with the Tulsa Fire Department had to cut part of the flagpole in order to fit the victim into the ambulance. Miraculously, we're told the victim will survive his injuries, but will likely lose an eye.
Clinton Collins was arrested for Maiming AFCF (After Former Conviction of a Felony).
This is an arrest, not a conviction.

The op that idiotically created this post had an oh shite moment and had to clarify by the end of the first page that:
quote:

Not about the product on the field… this is about the fanbase acting better than everyone.

Which has nothing to do with backing down to a flagpole in the head. OP is a famous dumbass on this forum.
So there you go.

It’s all the teams that didn’t compete very well against them they have this Battered Wife syndrome about them.

Who didn't compete well against them? They haven't won the conference championship since 2009.

Both of the TX school fanbases think they're better than everyone and talk a lot of shite. That's the culture of their entire state. They're big-mouthed texans. Hilarious watching these posts.

Texas fans think that, but I'd suggest it's more of an entitlement aura. Aggy wishes it and certainly sells it loudly.

Can't disagree with the cultural aspect of "Texas Pride" although that is diminishing in stride with the influx of liberal Cali types and the overall emasculation of western society.

You have to admit it was a lot more fun beating the Long Tall Texan than the emaciated Soy Boy in Birkenstocks.

The idea that the fans in the conference backed down is flat out wrong.

When Texas joined the league, OU fans warned everybody else about Texas... but at the time OU and Nebraska got all the hate from the other teams. The other teams were pretty neutral about Texas. By the time Texas had been in the league for 10-15 years... everybody in the league hated Texas. Even as much or more as they hated their traditional old Big 8 rivals.

When WVU joined the league, they didn't have a clue who to hate. Didn't take them long to figure it out.

The irony is that it isn't really hate as much as it is eye rolling annoyance and disgust with the pompous attitude and arrogance.

SEC fans will get their first taste of it when Texas comes to your stadium with their band and fans. Immediately after the game is over you will get a taste of Texas "tradition"/arrogance. It is irritating if they actually win the game. (But hey scoreboard)....but it is galling as hell if you beat them.

Austin exemplifies Texas pride. We've all seen the gif's 1000's of times. Y'all some sick puppies out that way. Heck, your soy boys don't wear Birkenstocks, they wear dresses.

Texas has been pathetic for 15 years. We'll see if we can compete in the big league. I kinda doubt it.
