Let’s embrace our new members. It’s going to add to the drama and fun.

Frick Texas. They killed the SWC, and almost killed the Big 12. They’re toxic

We'll break your hearts. But will be fun.

Having Texas in the SEC makes the conference feel "contaminated" to me. With what exactly I don't know but its not good.

I'm looking forward to mingling with Sooner fans. I've got a couple of good Switzer stories from back in the day.
Not crazy about the whole tejass austin thing.
Owell, it is what it is. Gotta give them the benefit of the doubt and hope they look at this as a new lease on life ... a chance to be a member of one big competitive family rather than their usual ubristic pathologically egocentric horseshite.

It is a new lease on life. For the first time ever, the conference we're in doesn't live or die by our whims.
Killed the SWC.
You know what kills a conference? All (but one) of its members being from a single state. And two of them being banned from TV and bowl season (SMU and TAMU).

Just because we don't want to part of your family doesn't mean we can't have fun competing.
(Part of the delay in going into the SEC was the whole liberal view of consanguinity in the deep South.)

Oklahoma will be the new Nebraska
Texas will be the new aggy
Not much else will change

I know they had the same attitude

Thank you good sir.
I anticipate the TEXAS/LSU battles in particular to be rivalry level much sooner than later. Geography aside, the programs match up well historically in a lot of sports including the four I follow the closest in FB, BB, Hoops & Golf.
Also considering that we are now going to be sharing custody of the Aggies, this may be the most anticipated recent merger matchup in all of college sports.

You'll have to excuse that old frick, he's the keyboard version of Don Quixote.

... and right there is what's wrong with tejass austin fans. They're the epitome of shite don't stink fricks.

You're so full of shite and, fair warning, come to SEC stadiums talking that stereotypical yankee incest inbred accusatory horseshite and you'll get a mudhole stomped in your asses.
Furthermore, you wouldn't even have the history you have were it not for Southerners, particularly South Carolinians. Your Travis Letter was written by a South Carolinian ... you can come visit his birthplace while you're here watching your hooerns take their arse whoopins.
I've typed it before and I'll type it again. I'm half Texan, West Texan, my Momma ... we still have a family ranch out there, what's left of it, just over 1500 acres, not far from Marfa ... between Marfa and El Paso. I appreciate my Texas side but I despise the hubris, especially of my UTa cousins. Y'all live more vicariously through big hat big belt buckle bullshite image of self worth than any other people in my beloved South. It's an ugly habit so many of you people have.
I hope the SEC teaches you differently and humbles some of you people, you really do have some gall. And here's the worst part. So many tejass austin fans don't have an ounce of Texan in them nor have they ever even set foot on the campus. It's just remarkable, their effrontery such as the statement above.
I do hope that you imply incest or inbreeding in the South to the wrong fan at one of our stadiums and you end up with a properly reset nose or jaw.
