Every night I had to walk home late from Chem Eng building from studying. Lived in Goodwin apartments so had to walk thru either Wendy's or McDonalds parking lot. Gained weight. Also got fried chicken a lot from Hartz (IIRC)

I bought a wok and would cook anything my buds would bring over. We ate a lot of venison. Findlay’s, Pizza Pronto, Panda Valley, Gatti’s, and that road trip to James Brown in Opelika. Ham Wilson for steaks and chicken for grillin. We ate good in the late 80’s!

Freshman year we lived off of Chick-fil-A and Lipton Deli. I think they had a deal with Godfathers pizza if I remember correctly.
Also loved Buffalo Connection. And back in the day I worked at shirtworks downtown so I ate a lot of Oliver’s Oven.

I lived in that palace 87-89. Biggest roaches I've ever seen lived there too.
Engineering being across the street made it better but better is relative.

Mac and Cheese with cut up hot dogs. Sometimes Ramen noodles. Learned to grill out while at AU.
James Brown was legendary. China King was good.

The Burger King (right across from Super Foods, i.e. “Stupid Foods”) would regularly have 5-for-dollar regular cheeseburger sales. I’d lay down ten bucks and, thanks to early age microwaves, eat for well over a week on a student budget.

I didn't realize the amount of OT ballers we had in here.
those were just my go tos when I had money that wasn’t spent on beer. Otherwise I usually bought a whole turkey and made it last a week…sliced it into sandwich meat, made turkey salad, turkey quesadillas, turkey grilled cheeses and then use the bones for a turkey soup. Could make a $15-20 turkey into 10-15 meals easy.

They also had that wonderful, cheap stand-by, Red White and Blue.

Might be before everyone's time at Auburn but there was a place called Tiger Pies that delivered pizza. We consumed many pizzas from Tiger Pies.

Anyone remember the all you can eat wings? I ate 63 one Thursday night and I was wrecked for a few days.
How about Tiger Time or Gabby's diners?
CSB from Gabby's- 2 AM Saturday night and absolutely packed. Standing room only, with a line out the door.
The jukebox is blaring all kinds of tunes and the crowd is singing along. Well, "You Never Even Called Me By My Name" by David Allan Coe comes on and the crowd starts to sing.
Well, I guess one of the waitresses had heard this song enough for the night and she was near her breaking point. She walks over and unplugs the jukebox, inciting a near riot. The crowd was having none of it. The crowd begins to sing/yell the song for the rest of the night at ear-splitting decibels. I was probably in there for over and hour and the song never faded in intensity or ended, it just kept going on forever.
I did see the waitress in tears at one point.
It's one of the drunken nights as a student that is seared into my memories. It was hilarious.
I hope that lady is alright.
