There's not a single edit to that picture, Bill.
I can confirm.
I've actually been there.

“If I had done what I needed to do between seasons, not only would I have won another Heisman, I would have put my team in a position to win a national championship,” he said. “More so than anything that happened in Cleveland, I think that’s the biggest regret I have in my entire life.”

Here are my thoughts on Manziel
Amazing football talent. However, never ever took the game seriously, and as they said in the documentary never ever even looked at film. NFL was "no fun", so he was never going to succeed as a professional.
Life was a party. Didn't care about anything other than the next football play, and the next party. Couldn't even stay clean for a couple months to make millions in the NFL. Destructive behavior coming out before the draft. Was going to be the Texans #1 pick before showing up wasted on a Houston golf course. Dallas passed on him as well - guess the Texas state teams did their homework.
He would have been a failure in college anywhere else. Sumlin/Kliff let the kid do whatever he wanted, which was great for football, but this helped to showcase why Sumlin failed at A&M as well.
His parents accept no responsibility for his behavior, and the rift between his family and A&M is real. For somebody who has been through rehab multiple times, it's pretty sad that he spends his days playing golf, living off of friends in Scottsdale, and drinking beer.
I'm sure he has a lot of regrets, but doesn't look like he's learned much of anything. What a waste. Thankful for what he did on the field, but seriously what a waste. No accountability at all.

I'd equate this to Jamarcus's "Bama Boy" chain but Johnny is literally 8-4's greatest player in recent memory. So this hurts.
It'd be like if Burrow said he wished he'd have stayed at OSU.

He didn’t say that in the documentary. He said Texas never offered him.

Texas offered him as a DB. He definitely had a unique style that many wouldn't take a chance on as QB.

The answer is clear

Johnny grew up a Longhorn fan and originally wanted to play for them, that is not new news. He got offered to play DB there and QB here so he came to A&M. The end.
The fact that this thread has gone for 7 pages based off a made up quote on a photoshopped image is kinda sad, but this is the rant so I'm not overly surprised either.

Would have loved to be a fly on the wall for those discussions Or, knowing how the teams use PIs to dig for things (obviously for a multimillion $ investment) what was in the JFF files.

The greatest player in A&M's history was going to UT parties and telling everyone he wished he couldve gone there WHILE he was playing for A&M. Imagine being that cucked as a program.

You could have saved a lot of time. John Football was and is clinically ill. There are degrees of this stuff and he is as much a victim of poor mental health as what he subjects on others with his irrational behavior. And he self-medicates, a lot.

I know he is mentally ill and bipolar. It is a sad story.
