If bama doesn't win one this year it will be the first time since saban went to bama that they went three straight seasons without a national title. So actually his math is right on.

This is really going out on a limb. Lots of folks want to be the hot takers with Bama loses 4, Oh, Bama isn't even the best team in Alabama.
Anybody with half a brain knows they will be in the hunt.
Bama lost to two teams last season. One that claims to have the toughest environment to play in in America that hadn't beaten Bama at home in 12 friggin years at that stadium and another that hadn't beaten Bama in 15 years period and took both herculian efforts to do so. The law of averages is gonna catch up somewhere and it happened in 2 places last year that hadn't happened in many moons.

You're thinking too hard.
Saban has coached at Bama 17 seasons. They've won 6 titles.
Actually, if they don't win this year, then his statement would be correct.
Averaging a national title every three years and not going more than two years without one are two different things.
