Lost to Troy 21-9 (thank God I decided not to go) in the Tornado Game the week before,
I was at this game. I was in the 8th grade, and my buddy's dad is a big Troy alum and was the cornerback who made the game sealing INT against Portland State to win the 1987 d2 NC. We listened to Auburn beat #1 UF on the radio on the way back to Montgomery. Quite a memory.

Thankfully I’ve never experienced a loss at BDS. The most mediocre game I’ve been to was the 2006 season opener vs Colt Brennan and Hawaii. We had to bat down a Hail Mary at the end of the game to hold on.
Only loss I’ve been to and by far the worst game ever on national television: Alabama vs Florida State in Jacksonville. Absolute shite show of a game.

We had just finished our north end zone expansion and I was able to score some free tickets for a few games in there. It was a pretty sweet deal and I couldn’t turn it down. It happened to coincide with Chad Morris’ tenure so you could pretty much take your pick of any of those games. Silver lining of the Western Kentucky loss was that an ex Razorback QB got to put a nail in Morris’ coffin. frick Chad Morris.

I was in the visitor section with LSU fans because those seats are actually cheap and nice except for the 95 degree sun beating on them. The LSU fans were overall pretty nice.
I was at that game in the visitor’s section. It was probably the hottest I’ve ever been in a stadium. Lower bowl ran out of water.
Very fun game and Jordan-Hare gets loud af.

10-7 loss against miss st in 2010 at home was the most boring game I’ve ever seen.
The homecoming blowout loss against mizzou that got Muschamp fired was the worst in terms of embarrassment.

1988 against Ole Miss at BDS. For some reason it was homecoming, Bill Curry was the coach and not only did we lose 22 - 12, we did not complete a single forward pass in the game even though Homer Smith was the OC. When someone (allegedly) threw a brick through Curry's window it was said that we knew it wasn't one of our quarterbacks because they could never have hit the window. A miserable day and a long drive home.

For Auburn off the top of my head (some already mentioned)
1. 2003 USC, we were loaded and legit national title contender for the first time in a while, our announcer died prior to the season and we were going to honor him by yelling "Touchdown Auburn" after our first score even practiced it before the game, we got shutout and let it beat us the next week at GT also, it was a million degrees. USC wasn't supposed to be able to handle the humidity damnit!
2. 2001 Alabama. Coming off a huge road win @UGA, bama was a mess, a true freshman Cadillac was rolling. He got hurt really early in the game. We completely fell apart and got blasted by Andrew Zow with a trip to Atlanta on the line.
3. 2006 UGA. Revisionist history AU fans try to act like this cost us a shot at the national title game. It didn't. Arkansas would have still won the west but we were top 5 against a terrible UGA team and threw a million interceptions and got blasted at home. In retrospect it was the beginning of the end for Tuberville and we have never recovered in this rivalry.
4. 2007 South Florida. Enough said.

That 92 Ole Miss team finished 9-3,5-3 and ranked 16th in the nation. By Rebel standards(State also I'm not clowning on the Rebs) that's a damn good season. That game over LT put them at 7-3 and they accepted a Liberty Bowl invite after the game. If I recall correctly that Rebel team had the best D in the nation and zero offense. That's why most of their games were like 13-6 as you mentioned, 13-0, 17-10, 17-12, etc. I love defense and actually liked watching the 92 Rebels. I'm sure most thought them boring.
They had the two-headed QB monster of Tommy Luke and Russ Shows. lol
You're right that it was a pretty good year, capped off by a victory in the Liberty Bowl over Air Force. You'd have thought we won the Super Bowl, plus it was incredibly cold.
I did get to perform at halftime with Eddie Rabbit, so that goes on the resume of course
