There it is! Always appreciate the well-informed Dawg fans jumping in to lend a hand.

You are welcome. Always happy to lend a hand to fans from the big 10 who haven’t a clue what real football looks like.

So far I’ve heard the last Prez extended Gus with the boards approval.
Then the board forced out Gus shortly after without the interim Prez or the AD’s approval. Then the old AD hired the new guy without the board’s approval. They pitched a public fit and fired the old AD. And now you’re saying the new, new prez is now more decisive and fired Harsin instead of the new, new AD. What the everloving frick? I thought we had it bad at UT, but I’d go nuts if I was an Auburn fan.
Former ADs:
Jay Jacobs 2005-2018
Allen Green 2018-2022
John Cohen 2022-present
Former Presidents:
Gogue 2007-2017
Leath 2017-2019 BAD
Gouge 2019-2022
Roberts 2022-present
Former HC:
Tuberville 1999-2008
Chizik 2009-2012
Malzahn 2013-2020
Harsin 2021-2022
Freeze 2023-present
Fans didn’t like Jacobs because he hired Chizik, who ended up winning a NC. He did awful when Malzahn left so he hired Malzahn. Basketball was shitty for a while but he did hire Pearl.
Fans weren’t happy with Malzahn for his let down season of 2014 and his awful seasons of 2015 and 2016.
He had a great season in 2017 beating #1 Georgia then #1 Alabama. Other teams came after him and Auburn was without an acting AD. Leath ended up giving Malzahn a huge contract with a huge buyout. Malzahn did not have great seasons after that. The offense was especially bad and he was supposed to be an offensive guru.
Greene fired Malzahn but then made weird hire in Harsin.
Complete overhaul last year.
May 2022 - new president. Ousted Greene as AD
Oct 31 2022 - Harsin fired and Cohen hired as AD.
Dec 2022 - Freeze Hired.

Harsin was done wrong (mostly by social media), but he also was the worst recruiter I have ever seen at a top half SEC school. He deserved firing for his shitty classes and his year two record.

He may genuinely just be a shitty recruiter, but it's probably hard to stay fully engaged, counter negative recruiting, and make headway in living rooms (outside of Clesi's obviously) when your own future and personal morals are placed in doubt by those associated closely with your own program.

It's not that. The stories about good football players that wanted to play at Auburn, and Harsin didn't recruit, would blow your mind. He just has never recruited at this level and is clueless on how to do it. On Friday night, when the staff is being seen at HS games, Harsin was going and watching his son play for Auburn High.....every game.
ETA Do you think coaches are negative recruiting Freeze? Either you work your arse off at it or you don't. In this league you had better work your arse off.

Harsin brought a lot on himself but it's hard to argue with any of this. It was frustrating as an alumnus to watch the undermining by certain boosters.

We are dumb.
If Brother Hugh wins SEC, let him walk.
Half of these deals are made up by Sexton.
Gus was not going anywhere.
2017 did not make him a Saban level must keep coach.
We are stupid. We give millions away.

So basically, he found out what everyone in the SEC already knew:
Auburn sucks.
Auburn sucks.

Auburn boosters gave Leath full autonomy in hiring Greene who went rogue and hired Harsin after an interview in a hot tub!
It was a Pandora's box. Auburn actually showed a bit of class not making public some thing the ladies of the family were doing. Not to mention the failure of the man as a coach. He was coming to work at 10:00 am for mercy sakes, changing game plans on Wednesday and leaving it up to the assistant coaches to put the plan in while he went home at 5, toxic with coaching staff, arrogant, racial statements in staff meetings, refusing to meet recruits. The list goes on and on and on. Auburn could have ruined the man's career had they chose too.
There is always two sides to every story. Generally the one who screams the loudest is usually the one guilty. Auburn was as easy target for lazy press. Auburn stayed quiet and moved on. Nowhere was it confirmed that Auburn instigated or investigated anything against the man until rumors started popping up on the internet. Hell, half you boys on here more than likely played with yourselves looking at the pic of Chelsea or whatever her name was.
What administration would not make a move? The Hardadians where their worst enemy.
Greene now works for Ole Miss. Who gives a damn where Harsin is.
2025 Auburn will have a top 5 if not #1 recruiting class in the country.
Next time you boys see Bobo, Kirby, Nick ask them who they would rather have coach at Auburn.
Hugh Freeze is the name they will mention.
The 6-5 year party is over!

Good luck. Your 2024 class is currently ranked 32nd behind Iowa State, Rutgers and Purdue.
Selling your soul for the #32 recruiting class in the nation.
Congrats auburn. Never change.

Another stupid post by its typical actors. Harsin was doing damage before the boosters even got involved.

It's fricking may.
bama is 16th...........yet has a higher star average than UGA.
We have 5 recruits.........yet less than half the top 10 have a higher star rating average than Auburn.
