Personally I would have liked for Morris to go back out for the 8th and if he got into trouble, then turn to Gage.
Sad part about that 8th inning is if Gage made the play on the ground ball, and then Cali stay home at 3b on popped up bunt, that inning would have been over.
Instead all hell broke loose.

I think morris could’ve gone longer. He was rolling. Lights out closer was also left in until it was out of hand. That was the incredibly stupid part. This is typical. It’s nothing new. It’s what we do. You can keep enjoying rewarding our athletic department for posting shitty tweets in games we lose and our teams continuing to embarrass themselves on a 30 for 30 documentary film series scale. It’s facts. We’re just good at track and make noise in other things but can never close the deal.

Let’s see what happens tomorrow and in the ensuing weeks. In the end, when we inevitably fall short, many like yourself will just say “whelp, that’s just baseball”…Again. Mark Richt was a damned good coach at Georgia, but he never won a title.

Dave's fatal flaw is his mishandling of situational, in-game management moves. Always has been. Always will be.
He also gives off a vibe to his entire team that the rug is about to be pulled out from under him at any moment during a big time pressure situation.
Note: this is not a knock on his ability to build and maintain a top program. Anything of the sort.
It is what it is. It's the truth. Nothing more. Nothing less.
The quicker Arkansas fans realize this the better you will feel about the giant letdown every single season in big moments.

Yes. This is basically how I feel when I’m not as pissed as I am now. People just refuse to admit it. We are so close to being next level but we’re stuck between a rock and a hard place with him staying every year and almost doing it quite frequently. He’s done everything, but he needs a freaking major golden parachute and needs to be sinecured out.
