I understand. You are just very bad at research and history.
Everything about the moon missions had to go through Huntsville, it is not that hard to understand.

Well you see I was there, and saw. While many of you try and diminish why Huntsville was picked. It was due to the local talent.

The only thing Houston got, because of Johnson wanting Texas to be included, was "mission control" (a taxi dispatch service)
Huntsville was a clearing house and had final say on everything about the Apollo missions. While several things were built elsewhere, they had to have approval from Huntsville.
Well the Apollo program was actually managed first from Langley and then later, from Houston.
I think the funniest part of this is you actually believe that you're right.
Your statements sound like things someone making fun of Bama fans would say sarcastically.

Unless Werhner Von Braun and his German buddies were actually born in Alabama, I am not sure if I agree with this.

Good try child, but again you are wrong.

Because , again, I am right. It must be hard for you to try and always miss the mark.
There is a reason why Huntsville is called Rocket City.
But keep on trying. We find it funny.

There are a lot of history buffs on tOT.
You should go there and make a thread detailing your experiences with running the Apollo program from Huntsville.
It would be great fun and I'm sure they'd appreciate your knowledge and input.

They were not, but the local talent that helped build the Apollo program were from Alabama. I had a great many family and friends of the family work on the project. All born, raised and educated in Alabama.

Is that where you get your information?

If they are as uneducated as you, then why?

You should know, you've posted there before.
I just sorted your post history with an AI bot, some of your football predictions are pretty oof.
Predicting a 28 point blowout of Tennessee in 2022 and swearing LSU wouldn't win a title in 2019.
But anyway.

Your assertions are denied by the Marshall Center itself in it history of the facility.

Folks in NASA are pretty clear that Huntsville was chosen because the German scientists were stuck in limbo out in Ft. Bliss and could not get funding from existing channels.
The Redstone Arsenal was up for sale as the WW2 chemical weapons stuff was no longer needed.
I have no doubt the subsequent infusion of talent from all over the country made Rocket City into a real center of excellence.
Trying to say all that was because of the "local talent" is not really a defensible claim however. It was the advanced research lead by very non-Alabama folks and the suddenly very rich federal budgets to underwrite research that made the place what it is.
I have no doubt there were some very smart locals that jumped in to help but that is not why the spot was chosen.

So you are using my football predictions to disprove me?
Wow.....

Part of it was because it reminded them of their native Germany in topography.
Part of it was Redstone
Part of it was what I said about local talent. Remember Huntsville was already home to Redstone
This was not me saying this but from Von Braun's own mouth. I was friends with his son Peter (little twerp), we both went to Randolph.

Sir,you have to take this knowledge to tOT.

Sidewalk and Windy City will be on for weeks having to hear about TFIF’s role in NASA.
It comes up about every 2 weeks or so.
I’d say cut your losses, but it’s fun watching that guy get emotionally wrecked on this site every time he participates.

OU SEC invite 2010
Not sure if this has been discussed but I find it interesting that the SEC wanted OU in 2010 but the fact that it would have meant coming with A&M turned them off.
Imagine if the SEC got OU instead of mizzou in 2010. You talk about a real nail to the head for Texas.
I don't think Oklahoma thought it could make the move without Oklahoma State at the time. I think if the SEC would have taken both OU and OSU, they would have made the move.

I’d vote for this as the understatement of the week.
You get bent often by many people. It really flusters you and you make mistakes.
