Let’s just figure out a way to shoot 40% from 3. Solves a lot of problems

why leave out the final four run for Auburn in your analysis ?

Sorry. That was Bama with Oates vs auburn same period.

I should have mentioned that.

Because he is comparing Oates and Bruce during Oates’ tenure. The F4 team was prior to Oates’ time at Alabama.

That would be nice to have.

Maybe Bama goes cold from behind the arc since they’re in a football stadium.

Need guards who can create shots in the paint. Holloway isn’t physical enough and Donaldson is too hesitant and inconsistent. A lot opens up with just that.

I actually think Tre is very good just doesn’t take enough shots while in the mid range or at the rim. I see that changing next year.

I thought the word here was he's gone.

I don’t think Broome is a definite gone. He’s a late 2nd rounder at best

Supposedly has a million dollar offer on the table. He won’t get that in the US. Maybe overseas somewhere. Heard that he wants to be able to showcase more of an outside game.

No, sounds like there’s a decent chance he stays. He could make more staying than going unless he were to get some first round projections, which isn’t likely going to happen. His best case scenario at the pro level is a two way contract in the NBA or a good overseas league. Both make great money but we can probably pay more for one year.

Finally, an NIL situation where it feels like everyone gets what they want.

If Broome comes back and we keep guards- Aden, Tre, Petitford, plus Cardwell and CBM then we are right back into the thick of things.

I’ve looked at 3-4 mock drafts all have him in the last 10 players drafted. And that’s before some of these younger players have gone off in the Big Dance.

I’m pretty sure one of Aden or Tre is gone and we’re getting a portal PG.

All we’re lacking is a PG. That position has to be shored up to make any type of run in the tourney.

Well that and about 3 more players who can shoot the three.

This roster has been bafflingly constructed for the last 5 seasons.

Outside of Denver Jones we don’t have a reliable three point shooter. And thus you see the result: getting beat by Yale and never advancing past the first weekend in Bruce’s tenure aside from 2019.

Oats’ alabama system for identifying players and implementing them into a well oiled offense is in a different league.

Trust me. We know this.

If Bruce can find his right guards then we do better. Bruce inexplicably missing at guard since Jalen Greene has cost us big time. Even the people he has landed- the white kid, zep, Wendell, KD, westry, and one of Aden/Tre going to the portal havent been spectacular.

There is nothing dynamic about this group. White kid showed us the way but then he left.

Bruce’s hit or Miss has put us in the hole big time.

Lol. Oats is not the model. They beat one really good team to make this run and credit to them but that doesn’t mean they are the beacon of college basketball.

This AU team had some good shooters although it was not an elite shooting team. Denver and CBM are really good shooters. Jaylin and Broome shot it pretty well. Aden is supposed to be a great one but didn’t shoot it well.

This team would have been at another level just adding a guy like this Furman dude we are recruiting, and no other changes. Heck NC State is in the final 4 now with just one really good big and one good guard and an otherwise somewhat mediocre roster.

No they're not, but they're consistent and Oats is continuing poking holes in their ceiling. Bama fans were just happy to be in the Sweet 16. Now look at them.

Fact is I'm getting raw thinking Aden could be heading to the portal. I want a high upside, talented guard that can lead our team. We needed Aden to be that guy. How long are we going to keep missing.

NYC you and I have personally had this guards conversation for years now and for years...our guards butthole puckers up
