I would hope that we make Beard choice no. 1. At least we don't have Ross Bjork making this hire. He was such a bad AD.

Neal thinks Beard is the top target and if Ole Miss hires a new coach next week it’s probably Beard. I think it’s pretty much either Beard or May at this point.

He was fired 2-3 weeks ago. This is the most interested I’ve been in Ole Miss basketball for almost 2 years. Our program desperately needs to make the Beard hire

Beard is the same as the Kiffin hire to me.
All the other fan bases going in “he’s just going to leave in a few years for a better school.”
So they performed well enough to leave for a blue blood and leave the program in a better state than when they came in?

If he’s not announced today, it’s not happening as far as I’m concerned. It wouldn’t surprise me if Beard wants to look at other options

On3 is already talking about what assistants may join Beards staff here. Still sounds like it's all but certain.

Saw from some Blue Check on twitter that announcement was to be expected to be "as soon as Monday"

Nope. At this point, I’ll believe it when I see it. It wouldn’t surprise me if he is just flirting with us in order to show other programs there is interest in him

Logically that makes sense. This is the absolute best time to make a hire like this because it’s going to get drowned our by everything else going on
