Ohio State cancels home-and-home series with Washington Huskies for 2024/2025

due to reshuffling of the Big 10 and Pac 12 schedules.
Am afraid more series could possibly be cancelled within our conference in the days ahead due our expansion and 12-team playoff, etc.
Ohio State canceled its home-and-home series with Georgia way back in 2012 that was set for 2020 and 2021 due to similar reasons.
Someone tweeted......Unfortunate but OSU would’ve had to play Texas, Washington, USC, Penn State, Michigan, Michigan State, and some (not all) combo of Iowa, Wisconsin, UCLA, and Nebraska in the same season. Would be a death wish of a schedule and with 12 team playoff it doesn’t reward scheduling OOC

Ohio State should go the Georgia route and play 4 nobodies and dodge Alabama and LSU in the regular season.

Most of those teams are really inconsistent, who is to say which are good or bad including washington.

And 1 hurt QB for USC got you in the game in the first place after you got drilled at home by a team that lost to TCU.
OSU losing was the expected and normalized outcome for an OSU.

The Outkick article on this says it's not due to scheduling issues with new teams coming in but rather wanting to decrease their difficult games in anticipation of 12 man playoff where you could be playing 4 extra games to go all the way. Ohio State also had to pay a half million dollars to Washington per terms of the contract. I don't like Georgia but they had no choice in cancelling the OU game, this is straight up chickenshit.
