Look at our record against OOC teams:

Bama: 3-2 in OOC Q1 games, 2-1 in OOC Q2 games

Sure they’ve torn up the SEC, but when they go out of conference their resume is not indicative of a title contender.

A&M: They are 10-2 in league play but a dismal 0-3 in Q1+2 OOC games

Kentucky: tied for 4th in the league, but 0-4 against Q1 OOC opponents

Auburn: tied for 4th in the league, but 1-3 against Q1 OOC opponents.

Florida: 6-6 in league play but a dismal 0-6 against Q1+2 OOC opponents

The NCAA tourney all depends on matchups but I think the SEC is severely overrated this year. Our Top 9 teams in the SEC which are all either projected in the field or among the first 10-12 teams outside the bubble are a combined 12-20 against OOC Q1 teams and just 12-5 against OOC Q2 teams. That’s a combined 24-25. Not great.

Very overrated. Bama may make it to the Sweet 16.

The SEC is currently projected to have 2 Top 6 seeds and a bunch of 9-12 seeds (with Mizzou somewhere in between). Seems to be rated pretty reasonably. About even with B1G/BE and well behind the Big XII (and ahead of the ACC/P12).

The Top 16 seeds are gonna like 5 BXII teams (Kansas, Texas, Baylor, Kansas State, Iowa State) and 1-2 from every other league (2 B1G, 2 SEC, 2 P12, 1-2 ACC, 1-2 Big East, 1 American, 1-2 WCC).

Pearl said, "ALABAMA is the best basketball team in the nation." While you stare at all the geek stats that mean nothing, Pearl actually got his azz run over on the Plains Saturday by BAMA.

Advantage Pearl.

Rated appropriately. Not the best league but pretty damn good imo. Teams beat up on each other.

BIG 12 gets all the love and it’s deserving but I believe the ACC is really good regardless of Duke and UNC being sort of “down”.

What hurts the sec imo is UK and Arky not living up to expectations. Both teams should be top 15 to top 25 teams based on talent.

Bama has definitely played their worst ball OOC but they did go into Houston’s arena and walk away with a W. Also outlasting North Carolina is still impressive imo. That’s basically the same team that played in the National Title game last season.

Playing as bad as Kentucky...not an impressive win.

Houston win is legit, but I don't see them winning the title.

Beating Houston on the road by 6 is the single biggest win any team has all season.

You're trying too hard kid.

We’ll know in March. The college basketball regular season outside of making the tournament is pretty meaningless.

On paper it’s not impressive but if we’re talking about Alabama’s ability to win tourney type games against teams outside of the SEC then it makes me feel better...personally speaking of course.

Odds are the SEC will have no Final Four teams. With only one arguable contender that's likely. But it's a lot of crapshoot, we could have 2 FF teams both double digit seeds. You never know

To all those teams who have already gone belly up. For example, LSU is in college basketball purgatory.

But just so your know, the fun is in winning. The reason fanatics continue to dress up like mental patients and spend a ton of money watching all these meaningless regular-season games is that the fun is in winning. Any win, any time. Dude, more the journey than the destination. That's why coaches get fired midseason.

Did I mention, "the fun is in the winning?"

5-7 in conference haus...a losing record in conference is not going to get you in the dance...plus you are 40th on KenPom which means your NET is around that ranking as well.

I agree with you man….but nobody’s going to remember or care if they don’t cut down the nets. See that Kentucky team…undefeated, who’s prob the best CFB team of the last quarter century that lost to Wisconsin who lost to Duke. I think they had Karl Anthony Town and another NBA center on that team. Cal should have been canned after that season.
