Good young talent on offense that is well respected, QB and TE minded balanced attack... an offense that Bama fans love. A veteran DC that's been here before and knows the sec and great recruiter.
Great stuff Saban!! Roll tide

I don’t mind the OC hire but the DC hire means I’ll probably be even more focused on basketball next fall.

I'm most certain that we all will be complaining at various times next fall about the coordinators.
Just how often will be the big question

Saban could have hired Garrett Riley and Pruitt and most people here would complain about them at the first sign of adversity next fall.

Steele has been coaching longer than Golding has been alive. He’s certainly not a home run, but the defense won’t be worse for sure. Rees is young and has a high ceiling. These “sky is falling” idiots need to jump off the bandwagon if they’re that upset.

There's a subset of BAMA fans that love misery, be happy for them.

I do too I don't see why guys are upset honestly these guys have the potential to use this team to their fullest potential

I agree. It seems obvious that Pruitt got a show cause so Steele is our DC for the interim. He’s a great DC and he challenges saban on blitzing more, which we need.

Like the DC hire. Wait and see in OC. Some of you had your heart set on Oruitt thanks to some well played trolls posting about done deals and no one else would be good enough. Steele did a fantastic job at Auburn and is a hell of a recruiter.

Kevin Steele looks like he might have Alzheimer's but he is a pretty solid defensive guy. With the talent that we have he should do well.

Despite the regular negative folks... I think the sentiment is that Rees is a wait and see and Steele is solid hire.

Honestly cautiously optimistic about both hires, but I have zero doubt that Steele is better than our exiting conference usa boy. Zero...

The hand wringing from “fans” like you is amazing to me.
Did you do this after 2017 when both coordinators were replaced? With an unknown Golding and promoted Tosh Lupoi as co-DCs. And promoted Mike Locksley and unknown Josh Gattis as co-OCs.
What’s the major difference now? Not coming off a national title? Saban being over 70 years old? I just don’t get the chicken little, sky is falling mantra.

While I have very little confidence in our new OC (and I have stated that), I am not sure Steele was a bad move. Not everyone who disagrees with you is trolling or being negative.

There is disagreement. There is caution. And then there is what some fans are doing. Pitch forks and doom.
