Blaming refs is nothing but a losers mentality, in a game there is plenty of missed calls on both sides it evens out. Obviously you have never been a referee, even when its a middle school game it is hard to get every call perfect. College basketball the game moves so fast and you are on the run, its easy to see when you have slow motion and replay sitting on the couch. Bet you weren't complaining about the refs when you were up double digits were you? Your teams inability to put a team away is not your fault at all, get outta here bro

MSU seems to have some ballers. I was impressed this go around.

MSU front court was impressive. Matthews seems like a guy every team would like to have.

so the MSU guy is talking about missed calls. What about the foul where the MSU guy back armed the Bama defending him in the paint that shoved him out of the way and allowed for a dunk. It was a flagrant foul which is why it did not get called on review, but it was a foul. I assume when the refs are looking at the flagrant foul they cant just call a personal foul since it was not called during the play. A bad miss by the refs.

Refs were fair until early in 2nd half after Bama cut it to 3 then we went back up by 10.
After that the refs got whistle happy. We went from 2 to 6 fouls with less than 10 seconds run off the playclock. It was obvious they were helping Bama get in the bonus early

I wasn’t talking about missed calls. I was talking about refs going from letting them play to being ticky tacky as shite against us to get Bama in the bonus when it became obvious Bama was still going to struggle to score on our defense

To be honest wasn't expecting much from this season, having a hot start was nice and we clearly have a good coach, once we recuit the program should get back to the good ole days of winning and competeing at a high level..

I’ll take it! We never get help from the refs in basketball!

MSU traveled under 3 minutes left, no call.
The Clowney block was clean, no call.
That's 4 points gifted to you under the last tv timeout.
All late. But yea, you got screwed.

You know it was bad when even the Bama fans are agreeing with you.

Good game State!
That shows y'all what you're capable of if/when your offense is on and you play hard!

I'm normally not one to blame the refs, but there were a few bad calls on both sides, but the worst call was the one that swung the outcome imo, the "foul" on the 3.

When a post player goes flying at a national player of the year candidate out of control and makes contact with his hand as he shoots you are going to get a foul called more times than not, especially on the road.
You want to complain that they went from letting State body and grab on drives to calling it midway through the 2nd half that's fair.
I'd argue they should've been calling that stuff the whole way which probably would've resulted in Mississippi State would've lost by 10+.

Its hard to win modern day basketball with an emphasis on physical defense. The rules today are written to improve offensive play. When Bama had Grant as coach it was frustrating to see the team play well enough to win, but in the end, just too many fouls would be called and the opponent would pull away. MSU is really good on the defensive end, but when your guards are as poor at shooting the 3 as they are, its going to be difficult to win against the higher level teams.

MSU seems to be a bad matchup for Bama. They've played us closer than any other SEC team twice anyway. I think they're quite a bit better than their record too. The start of their SEC schedule has been pretty brutal. They'll win more games down the stretch.
