Put me in the camp of taking anyone to try and oust Thorne at this point.

Just looked at who was below us and Alabama was #125. Thought that was interesting.

UF 119
Scar 126
Arky 131

Salter is a baller. Definitely an upgrade to Thorne or anyone else in that QB room.

Same. I always support whoever starts, but Washington playing for a Natty bc of mostly Penix alone surely has made CHF realize we need to field the best QB we can buy next season and all of the ones after

Then we need to go all in for him. Idc if our roster isn’t ready to win a chip, you have to upgrade that position and make us look better next year. MAKE IT HAPPEN BEAVVVVV

Yep. Thorne struggles with two important things mightily, seeing the blitz and anticipating throws. Now some of that comes with just getting in rhythms, understanding offense better, and just better talent around you. Nix struggled with those two things as well, now look at him.

Ultimately though, I don’t know if we can wager all we have on him. Simple as that.

Yup. Have to find someone to win 8+ games next year. That’s not happening with PT.

The people saying our roster isn’t good enough next year to warrant getting a portal QB are also against a one year transfer.

Which is interesting. Wouldn’t we need a guy next year so he’s in his second year when the roster is ready?

From Dave Bartoo:

The 7 teams without being a top 10 recruiter to make the NC game this century, win or lose, 5 of them had 1st round draft picks at QB.
Exceptions: McCarthy at UM and Thomas at UO

If we go with PT that feels to me like CHF felt like this season was acceptable

Just thought I would jump in since I see NIL numbers being talked about again. This came from Hoke, so giant grain of salt and all that.. but he said we offered around 500k for Bolden and 800-900K for Ward, which he believes was higher than Miami's offer. Almost all the NIL stuff you hear in the media is overblown.
