Pettway played like a stud for a grand total of maybe 5 games against the Vandys of the world. He was never going to be a great back. He was like a three star. The fact we got that much out of him was impressive enough.
Johnson simply got hurt on a TD attempt. The “we ran him into the ground” narrative is stupid af when we beat Bama and Georgia with it.

He was such an offensive guru he could only figure out how to hand the ball to one guy. Over, and over, and over. Unless, of course, we lined the guy up to take the snap. The occasional sweeps and reverses for a loss mixes in too
