JLee been having a rough couple of years. From carrying Harsins water and calling everyone bitches only to turn around and confirm everything after Harsin got fired to straight up being wrong about recruits. He was adamant that Dumas was a done deal while Clemente said from the beginning that it wasn't.

I basically skim over anything that has his name tagged to it.

Our current roster is what you would get if your coaching staff was unbelievably good at evaluating 2-star talent. We are counting on a lot of productive players who were nothing coming out of high school.

Im assuming you mean this in a positive way. In the 70s there was a reporter who religiously followed players from predominately smaller black college football programs. The Pittsburgh Steelers put him on the payroll, gave him a gas and credit card and told him to go see what he could find....the rest is history.

4* OT Preston Taumua ( #1 recruit in Hawaii and will OV June 16th) broke down his top 5 ( us, Bama, AZ, Nebraska, and Oregon) here's what he said about AU:

quote:

“I love Auburn because of coach Ben Aigamaua, coach Kendall Simmons and coach Jake Thornton. They show so much love to me especially when they come down to the islands. Me and coach Ben always check up on one another and they talk to me like I’m a part of the team already and that’s something special.”

Per 247.

Pink on on3 believes it'll come down to us and Bama.

Pink threw in a prediction for 3* DL Malik Blocton to Auburn

Blocton recently said the schools recruiting him the hardest were Oregon, UGA, AU, UF, and Texas. Also has an offer from Clemson and Bama, with Steele starting to work on him.

I’d imagine he’ll make it up to a 4* by December

Can the Jackson State transfer be the Tigers' top receiver?
Looks like a great add. Very long guy with decent speed, good hops, hands and body control.

He was JSU's #1 receiver. Interesting that he didn't go to CU.

You can’t deny his hands and he seems to get off the line with a burst, but it’s so hard knowing how good he is considering the level of competition. I think the North Texas guy is the big get and will start opposite Camden.

Like him too. We had several good gets in the TP. Texas guy is big bodied and fights for the ball. At a minimum we're going to have several guys fighting for snaps.

Agreed, he will no doubt be pushing for snaps and improves the WR room. So that’s my completely uneducated guess. Shorter, Camden and Var in the slot. Having Burton and Hooks in the mix is sure nice after the atrocious WR room we had the last two years.

Hooks supposedly is a drama queen. Not a guy you take a risk on if you don’t plan to start him

Daniel Hill out of MS set his official, now that is interesting. He is clear about playing RB.

Before Burnette committed Riley was probably top of the board, or 1a 1b. Alabama has also offered. Who knows Alabama's board but I dont think Hill is number one, and they will only take one this cycle.

So we are hedging our bet, bama missing on someone and takes Riley.

Or is something going on with Burnette, Zac hinted at that this morning.

Sure we would love to have Riley and someone else, but if bama offers he is gone.

I just really like Hill. He is a beast, and half his highlight film is playing wide receiver so he has good hands.

Ah recruiting is fun again

Rumor is he has some things to do to make sure he keeps his spot. Grades and has to keep his weight in check is what I saw.

A bunch of the Carrollton HS team is visiting. The big one on that team is Juju Lewis. I've been wondering what was taking so long on us getting in touch with him, but he's a '26 so I wasn't sweating it. Hopefully we offer him today.

Hill and Riley seem down the board for Bama currently.

Might work out for us if Hill keeps his pre-fall commitment timeline. I think Auburn would obviously take him if he wanted to commit, regardless of what Riley and others wanted to do if they weren’t on board yet
