Yeah we just need an average defense to go along with Kiffin’s offense to be competitive.

Kiffin moved the ball pretty easily on Golding in 2020 and 2022 which makes the hire kinda ironic.

Everyone is jumping ship while they can. Coaches making lateral moves, Good players transferring to LSU; they see the writing on the wall. Y’all will still win recruiting championships like jimbo tho

Does Pruitt get the job show cause and all

No but they are looking into an relatively unknown coach named Laremy Druitt who has no issues with the NCAA

He probably did, but both coordinators were already getting fired.

Alabama wins 75% of their games on the national signing days. Especially on defense, pure talent advantage should result in an adequate unit by statistical measurements.

The problem with Golding is any team Alabama has played under his watch with a decent offensive coordinator and good talent has hosed them. Mike Leach’s (RIP) 5 play offense is about the only scheme he had a decent handle on. To be sure, his playcalling style and scheme seems to be ideal for an opponent that isn’t committed to run-pass balance.

SEC and National champion

SEC and National runner up

5th ranked and Sugar Bowl champion

At this rate we will be out of the top 25 in a decade I guess. Lmfao.

The only games against good offenses that good give us issues where I felt we played a really solid game since 2019 were.......

- 2021 Ole Miss
- 2020 Ohio State

I think we all gave him a pass in 2019 because of the injuries and youth on defense, but 2020-2022 were just a consistent line of games in which we either let bad offenses hang around or just flat out played like arse

2020 Ole Miss, 2020 Florida, 2021 Arkansas, 2021 Texas A&M, 2021 Florida, 2022 Arkansas, 2022 Texas A&M, 2022 Tennessee, 2022 LSU, 2022 Ole Miss, 2022 Auburn

I think Ohio State got panicked on offense by how easily we ran through their defense.

That 2021 Ole Miss game was really due to Lane Kiffin own-goaling himself to death with 4th down calls in dubious field position. Man can’t take points early for some reason.

That was the point retard. The decline you could project from there would result in a decade of excellence for just about every other SEC program.

This comment is not directly pointed at bama fans mostly at fans of other schools saying we are picking up a “bama reject”

You think saban would keep a coach on staff for 5 years that he didn’t think was adding value to the program??

He gave up more points than past coordinators but look at how bama’s offense has changed with college football since the days of clock management ball and bama running for a zillion yards. Just because he wasn’t Kirby smart doesn’t mean he’s a bad coordinator.
