Are we still excited for Texas and Oklahoma to join the SEC

Adding these two teams into the conference makes the SEC conference the clear primer conference in CFB. However, with the transfer portal and NIL recruiting wars are we setting up most of the conference for failure?

Huh?! That is something pretty much only the SEC commish wanted. Not the people and probably not most schools, if the truth be known. There never was any excitement, only scratching of heads wondering what he was thinking. There are many other schools that would be a better fit.
Four posts? And you squandered a post on this

Need to get back to 10 or 12 team conferences.
What really intrigued me would be to get the old big east back together and add
Penn State
Nd
To Miami, vt, pitt and west Va

I'm excited for Oklahoma.

In order to still be excited, I would have needed to be excited when it was originally announced.

Looking forward to them realizing that a SEC schedule is a harder grind than they’re used to; however, FSU, Clemson, UNC or NCST would’ve have been better fits geographically (true southeastern US schools). I’m admittedly an old traditionalist fuddy dud in that regard, though.

Absolutely. Should be some fierce competition

Nobody wants UTx or OK.

...except for the commissioner and the 14/14 schools that voted in the affirmative for adding them

People want to see Horns v Bama or Sooners v Gators. That’s what this is about. More marquee matchups for TV $$$.

But real SEC fans hate it.

Still? Never were. Talk about diluting a good product.

Some Texas fans can laugh at ourselves.
