Mascot name change for Misery? Cowardly Lions is more appropriate than Tigers

This group of misfit midwesterners should have never been invited to the SEC (along with Aggie) in the first place. Cowards of a feather, hide together?
Misery has brought nothing but embarrassment to the SEC with their woke political agenda and D2 athletics department.
They wanted no part of century-old rival Kansas in the Liberty Bowl as it would expose how soft their team (molded in the image of their nerd coach) really is.
We already had two real Tigers in the SEC, LSU and Auburn when these cowards from Columbia-West were invited. They should have been required to change mascots as a condition for acceptance.
These scardy cats would rather make what little following of fans they have (similar to Vanderbilt) drive all the way to Florida to avoid getting hammered by the Jayhawks a short drive away in Memphis.
Having a nerd coach, female AD, woke administration and student body doesn't sound very SEC to me.
Hope Kansas runs them out of the gym in basketball this weekend.
Going forward TCU, Baylor, Texas Tech or Oklahoma State would be suitable replacements for these damn Yankees.

Texas isn't even in the conference yet and they are already causing strife and starting crap. They have destroyed 3 conferences already and now they have set their sights on the SEC

We saw you get exposed by a Big 12 team in Manhattan, Kansas this fall.
Guess your coach didn't want a repeat in Memphis to ruin the holidays. Hard to blame him after already being destroyed by Kansas State.

Hello, pretend Texas fan.

Eh, Kansas dodged us for nearly 10 years
It was ku policy to refuse to play us once we left the Big12. If they cared about the historical rivalry so much, we would’ve been playing them annually in all sports every year. But kansas was petty and didn’t want to schedule us
It funny they wanted to avoid us when they sucked, but now when we’re both 6-6 they want to play all the sudden.

Step #1 - Refuse to allow someone to talk shite when their team is playing their bowl game before Christmas.

This is some pretty pathetic deflection from a fan of the most underwhelming football program in America
Also, Mizzou has won its division twice in the past decade. What has Texas done again with all those resources? Y'all are just a hippie, orange version of Aggy.

quote:Unfounded bullshite, but there are published articles from the KC Star quoting Kansas officials who stated that they refused to schedule Mizzou over the past decade.
They wanted no part of century-old rival Kansas in the Liberty Bowl as it would expose how soft their team (molded in the image of their nerd coach) really is.
quote:Mizzou adopted the Tiger monicker (1890) before LSU (1896) or Auburn (1892).

quote:You assume Mizzou had any input, but aside, who would choose Memphis over Tampa in December?

quote:Yes he's a nerd, that's pretty sexist, and it's absolutely hilarious hearing a Texas fan calling anybody's student body "woke".

quote:Probably. But Texas fans living vicariously through Kansas' basketball program, how pathetic.

quote:Texas is still a Big 12 school, you have no vote. But when you do join, please tell your administration to try to refrain from ruining a third conference in 30 years.

We literally built a P5 conference (against our will) that the likes of Kansas State, TCU, Oklahoma State, Baylor are all thriving in and will have a secure path to the playoffs when we leave.
They are all very thankful for us wasting 30 years propping up a midwestern conference in order to bootstrap their programs.
Look in the mirror. You, Aggie, Nebraska, and CU (who will come crawling back when the Pac crumbles) are the ones who broke the original Big 12.

The only way you benefit any of those schools is by being perpetually overrated and then losing to them. But Notre Dame can do that too without ruining a conference, so it's not all that impressive a feat.

They came because OU said no the first time, this is the SEC and we are fambily so piss off. You are not welcome until you actually become a member
At for Mizzou
AAU school help the academic rep
Good journalism school
Good ag school (lot of Vets in the SEC hold Mizzou degrees)
Gave us the first gay CFB player, so added Rainbows
Gave us a petting zoo
Gave us lots of white folks, but not culty like the Mormons
Won the East twice already, Utx could be a decade or two before they win
Gave us the battle of the Columbias (and FG games)
Gave us the other half of the Walmart Kart Trophy
Gave us another Gymnastics and Volleyball school
Looks like they will annoy Utx fan so yet another bonus!
PS they are now giving us "Weedy the Mellow Dude" which is way better than a nutless gay cow

You left the SIAA so you could have a monopoly and were tired of Vanderbilt beating you at various locations in the state of TX. Then you drug TAMU into that mess. OU and OSU left early and Rebs and LSU were too smart to accept your invite. Hogs left your gassy a$$ when the opportunity presented itself.
You were so dumb you put Shaggy Beefo on OU's backbone and lost it

How about from KU's own website in 2017?
quote:
on playing Mizzou: ‘I don’t think there’s been any change in our position’
quote:
“I thought you were gonna let me out of here (without asking) that one,” Martin joked before adding: “Of course you want to play the game. (Kansas) is a great program, Bill (Self has) done a tremendous job. He’s won the league, what, 13, 14 straight years? That’s impressive. Of course we’d love to play. But I think both sides have to agree upon something like that. You saw the energy behind it. We’ll see.”
A little later, Self was asked the very same thing, but that question, perhaps indicative of the fact that many believe it’s Kansas that has the final say in whether this rival will continue, came just less than a minute into his postgame press conference.
“That’s what fans want to know, but we’re gonna do what’s best for us,” Self said. “We’re not interested in doing what’s best for Missouri or best for Missouri fans. But if it’s best for us to play ’em, we will. It’s not a complicated deal.
“I’m not gonna say never, but I don’t think there’s been any change in our position. I’m the spokesman, I guess, on this, but, trust me, I’m not the only one that feels that way. There was a very large contingent of KU people that wasn’t happy that we were doing this initially until they realized it was for a good cause
The truth hurts.

Same old gymnastics.
That’s not evidence.

(a) Texas wanted a monopoly
(b) LSU, Ole Miss, OU, Pokes, Arkansas all joined or were invited to join us
Pick one.
If you really knew your history, you'd know that the Hogs leaving for the SEC was the first domino for the SEC to eventually land Texas. And it was very intentional on the SEC's part. And the feelings were mutual. DKR himself wanted SEC. Academics and Texas state government thwarted it as long as they could. 2025 has been a long time coming, and I'm excited!

That era Utx fans were better.
DKR was solid.

If you knew your history if not for the B1G wanting Notre Dame, realignment never happens. SEC started with 13 and shrank to 10 and everybody was happy with that.

Both, Utx was in the SIAA but they could not control it so formed SWC they could control. OK schools joined and left, AR joined, but became the only non TX school eventually and got tired and left. Rebs and LSU were in SIAA and declined to join SWC to stay in SIAA (which became SoCon, which spawned SEC)
Is that better?
