I wouldn't say it's weird. It's easy to blame others. And it feels good, too. Texas and Longhorn Network (none of them would've turned it down) make a great scapegoat.

Nebraska, Texas A&M, and Colorado voted in lock-step with Texas on all of the issues they claimed as the reasons they were leaving.

To be fair, in Nebraska's case, it was absolutely our fault. We broke their soul so completely by going 9-1 against them in the Big 12 that they decided to commit program suicide.

That said, Big 12 was a shotgun marriage from the beginning. Nebraska, Missouri always had eyes on Big 10. CU eyed Pac. Texas A&M always wanted SEC. Factions at Texas wanted all three of Big10, SEC, Pac10.

In the end, the smaller brand schools found a decent home in the Big 12, and the larger brands did what they were going to always do: chase the money.
