At least they will win the biggest game in Kelly's career for him.

Where else should we have gone? Sugar and Orange were locked up.

What bowl were y’all expecting?

Not so fast my friend. I can see Purdue blitzing that LSU defense.

Alabama fan laughing. Good for you. Here what we laugh about…..beating Bama in year one of a massive rebuild. This was just the beginning. More fun is ahead of us and more pain for Bama against LSU. We are just getting started. That being said, feel free to continue laughing.

Same chance as Bama of winning it all.

Looking forward to Saban trying to ban first overtime 2 point conversions all offseason.

Had they told LSU fans they would be in this position at the beginning of the season , every single one of them would have taken it.

Probably get that 10 win season Saban was preaching about after the LSU loss.

I don’t get the thread, citrus isn’t bad and we are 9-4, where were they expecting we were going?

Awesome. Thought maybe a 6-6 season after our first game.

He’s a butthurt Alabama fan pretending he’s not upset that LSU knocked their overrated asses into the first team out slot.

Are we supposed to be mad about this?

I get to leave work early on a Monday.

Isn't Purdue 7-5? They belong in the Music City Bowl.

LSU vs Purdue in the Citrus

Where did you expect LSU to wind up being 9-4? They were not getting a NY6. So Citrus or Outback vs. a Big10 team was the most likely choice. I don't think an SEC Championship game team that fell out of the NY6 (Cotton, Sugar, Rose, Peach, Fiesta, Orange) has ever not been in one of the Florida New Years bowl games, either Citrus, Outback or Gator, with just a few exceptions.

Pre CFP, Arkansas fell to the Music City in 2002 but they were 8-5 at that point. Back in 1995 (11 game season), Arkansas was 8-3, lost to Florida finished 8-4 and fell to the Carquest.

LSU in the Citrus has SEC title game losing team is pretty much the historic norm.

Here are the bowl games for all the SEC runner up teams.

Purdue is technically the B1G runner-up and the Nuts are in the CFP. Seems legit.
