Never gave up on Jimbo

he is the best recruiter A&M has ever had, and is the only guy we can afford who has his own national reputation (which keeps us in the conversation often even if it’s bad)
I think he has been stubborn, and he needs to pivot and let go some right now. Has to reinvent himself, with one of the biggest wallets on the sport for new hires and a freshman QB that has been my favorite QB since JFF
he might be done, but looking at Michigan right now or ND after BK had his losing season and they supported him and I think I can work out. College football got too impatient and there might be rewards for programs that swim against that tide, program stability means a lot to parents and kids
Have a good morning either way and thanks for reading
Proceed to dunk on me

Either way he is staying at A&M, so might as well look at the bright side

So begins the 2023 roller coaster. A month ahead of schedule.

I did. Thought he lost the team.
Double edged sword, last night. That was a convincing butt whooping from the get go yet for most of the season we looked like arse.
I would like to interview Jimbo and understand why Weigman never got the start until he was the only option. There has to be a solid reason.

The entire SEC is glad Jimbo will remain in College Station. When the emotion of last night’s win wears off and y’all look at his body of work. It’ll sink in, but hey you got your money.

I’d wait to see who leaves this off-season and how the 2023 recruiting class finishes if I were you.

Jimbo needs to be less stubborn

This is reasonable. If this game keeps the previous two classes together and gives us some recruiting momentum, then I'm still on the Jimbo Train if he'll make some adjustments. Hire a good OC and give him free reign on play calling, then pick up a couple of OLs and LBs from the portal. Maybe even grab a good RB for depth if Achane declares; however, I still feel pretty comfortable at RB if Daniels and Moss both stay.

I get he is a freshman, but he is head and shoulders above King. If he would have played him at the beginning of the season, it might have turned out significantly different.

Agree. I don’t believe he tossed an INT. Granted, not too many games but a true freshman doing that is still a nice feat.
898 yards
8 TD
0 INT
62.2 QBR
I will take that for a true freshman.

100% this. Despite being young this year, next years roster could be really thin in several areas. We don't have a single QB,RB,WR or TE committed in this class and we are losing a lot of good players at those positions. If Jimbo doesn't hit the portal hard and find quality players we are going to be in trouble next year.

I was rooting for him to win the offseason QB competition. I was miffed when he ended up third string. Happy it worked out no matter the coach.

Better than some of our fan base. Some dumbasses are ready to bail on BV after 1 season of mediocrity.
Yeah yeah. Be ready for years of mediocrity when we get to the SEC. I get it.

Drinkwitz did something similar but the better quarterback wasn't quite ready. Give Jimbo credit to save the last game for the best and to carry it over to next season with a promising outlook for next season.

Well it eventually paid off for Cubs and Saints fans.
God bless you son & good luck.
