We were 5-5, Ole Miss was coming into Fayetteville ranked #8 in the country, and we whipped their arse 30-0.

i have never thought Kiff was a great HC, OC sure... but not HC.

But I also looked at OM's Schedule and realized they haven't played anyone. They are sheep... no wolves involved!

We have a great big gaudy record if we have their schedule this year. Ah well. We are bowl eligible. Beat Mizzou and win a bowl game and its year you can build on.

Christ I hope I don't see a schedule like this again soon.

We lost to my alma mater and I didn’t graduate from an SEC school or a school in Texas.

After all the bullshite this season has provided I'll gladly take 8-5. That's about where most predicted to finish in the preseason. It'll always be a bit bitter to swallow because we will always know this team had 10-2/11-1 potential at full strength.

That and the next week against LSU were two absolutely freezing but amazing games. The environment was nuts each night.

It doesn’t look that bad until 2025.

Yep. I froze my nuts off on the East side.

Also just realized that like this year, Ole Miss was 8-2 coming in. In looking at their boards, apparently many of their fans are drawing the parallels between this year’s game and 2014.

Almost as cold as the Liberty Bowl vs ECU

I’ve been a duck hunter for over 30 years and counting. I’ve hunted in ice, snow, sleet and rain, dipped my waters, fallen into the drink, and been underdressed and/or not layered enough.

I still maintain that that bowl game is still the coldest I’ve ever been in my life.

next years schedule sets up pretty shitty as well though. We better win those first 3 non cons because if not we may not make a bowl. 4 straight games away from home against the toughest teams on the schedule, and auburn in November by the time their new coach will probably have them rolling. Also get to go to Florida late in the season. When the frick do we get vandy again?

Looking at 2024 we finally get a year that doesn’t look like death row so I’m sure that will be when Texas and OU join the conference causing the conference to “realign” schedules and frick us again

It’s funny because that is what will 100% happen. I fully expect us to have Bama, LSU, Georgia, Texas, Texas A&M and OU all on the road that season.

Hope we're not having a really down year, in 2025, and that school in Jonesboro be having an up year. It would really suck to lose that one.

This has been one of our easier schedules. The West winner will have two losses for the first time since 2007. We're Texas A&M's sole SEC win. We singlehandedly saved them from joining the o-fer club.

Liberty is a G5 team that was using their third string QB and lost to UConn immediately after beating us.

We'd have taken the West winner to OT where we had a decent shot at winning if Sam had just taken the fricking points to go up 6–0 early on instead of going for two in the first quarter when LSU's defense was fresh, and we weren't even playing our starting QB. Instead, we lose 10–13.

Arkansas would lose in OT with a Cade Fortin interception.

I'm happy with the dominating SEC win yesterday and getting bowl eligible, but the lingering story for this season (for me at least) will be the "what-should've-beens"

We should've beaten TAMU like a drum, they're terrible and their offense is possibly one of the worst in the entire country. I despise playing in Jerryworld because of the fact that we just can't seem to play a decent game there, even with loads of fans. We have to get out of that contract as soon as it's up, good lord.

We should've manhandled Liberty, for obvious reasons. At full strength we absolutely do, but we always have the injuries at the worst possible times it seems like.

Also could've easily beaten LSU with a healthy KJ, that's another one we could've had in the win column.

We could easily be 9-2 right now with a chance at a 10 win season, and a top 10 ranking. It sucks because we know we had the players and talent this season to get there, we just fell apart and made some dumb moves along the way. Sucks even worse that our roster is losing a LOT of production and the West is unusually down this season, this was our chance to make some noise.

Oh well, such is life as an Arkansas fan

I'm more concerned at how the team responded to the Liberty loss than the what ifs. They responded well against LSU despite Jefferson not playing and I expected them to quit in that game but they didn't. I think Sam wanted more sense of urgency from the team because the effort in the first half of the Liberty game was awful until the fourth quarter.

If they didn't play hard against LSU then the season would have spun out of control losing out at 5-7. That would have harmed any momentum Sam had here.
