I think it's a given we're doing 9 conf. games.

But has anybody heard how to tackle the 4/5 H/A problem?

I know they have experts or computers to figure this out. Just wondering if you do H/A with "Group A" & then "Group B"...or do the teams flip each season?

Then again, there was the talk on here: 4H/4A/1Neutral.

Probably just rotate, one year you have 5H/4A, then 4H/5A the next.

Possibly. Or they may go wild with this scheduling format for us:

Group A 4H/5A
Group B 4H/5A
Group A 5H/4A
Group B 5H/4A

They say it’ll be a 4 tier system with A,B2,C4,D1 going in order of first.

If you have 3 permanent opponents, you’ll play 2 at home one year and 2 away the next, or vice versa. The other 6 should be an even 3-3 split every year.

So you’ll have 5 home the year you play 2 permanents at home and 5 away the year you play 2 permanents away.

It's gonna be a problem once OU/Texas join. If you think there's resistance to moving FL/GA out of Jax that's nothing compared to the hell that would be raised if there was talk of moving the RRS to on campus.
You don't think LSU/Ole Miss in NOLA annually would be fun?

No. Absolutely not. I love going to Oxford. On-campus games are better than any neutral site game. Obviously you guys have the traditional Jacksonville game with UGA, and I would bet what makes it so cool for you is the tradition. Not playing Ole Miss in Tiger Stadium or Oxford would ruin that tradition for each of us.

Okay. But then you've got to work out you perm's schedules based off yours, etc..

Hince why an even # is easier to work with.

We aren’t going to have pods. It has already been decided. Likely 9 conference games with a 3-6 format. Three teams you play every year and 6 rotating.

With 9. conference games, teams will have unequal home and road games every year. Do we want 5 conference games on the road every other year?

Works great for Georgia and Florida. Will actually help our season ticket immensely.

It's either:

Y1 - 4H/5A Group 1
Y2 - 5H/4A Group 1
Y3 - 4H/5A Group 2
Y4 - 5H/4A Group 2

or
Y1 - 4H/5A Group 1
Y2 - 4H/5A Group 2
Y3 - 5H/4A Group 1
Y4 - 5H/4A Group 2

So, you're either playing the same teams in consecutive years OR keeping the same H/A setup.

Need 10 conference games.

A 16 team league should scrap divisions and schedule based on 5 year rolling conference records.

Neutral site games are always worse than on campus games

Sure I guess. Rather just play in BR

Why should you base schedules on conf. records?

In your example, some teams could play between 2-5x in 5 years.
