choice to replace NS?
It could be grad assistants, special assistants etc.
And Kirby is off the table since he realistically wont come. And why is your answer Butch Jones
For me it is a toss up. But I would need to see more of them as a HC. Sark, JOey Freshwater, and the UM coach.

I think the majority would be ok with Kiffin at this point. He’s probably hit his ceiling with OM and everyone (including him) knows it

He is my lead vote getter at the moment

The question is does he think he can win bigger at Auburn. Because I will be pretty surprised if they don't go after him to replace Harsin. It would pretty much burn his bridge to the Alabama job, but who knows if he actually wants it. Some of his public comments suggest he does and some suggest he doesn't.

Sark as Oc, Pruitt as DC, Bo Davis as defensive line coach, Burton Burns running backs coach, Josh Gattis Wr coach.

Depends on how he views that booster situation. He can do whatever he wants at OM with zero push back, and after what happened to Harsin publicly and what was rumored to have happened behind closed doors, does he need to take that job? He can wait another couple years and easily get a tier 1/2 job

Sark isn't leaving Texas. Dabo is too scared to follow Saban.
The answer is Kiffin. He's not afraid of following Saban. His offenses would be a nightmare for teams with Alabama talent. He can recruit. He's still young. If he can hire a great DC (Pruitt), Bama will win a national championship with him as coach.

Pruitt is in the NFL now, right? I think he’s still a couple years out from getting that college football cloud from over his head.

Replacing Nick Saban is a very tall order, and you will need a coach who is very confident and not afraid of the task. Obviously with that being said everyone thinks about Kiffin. I think the issue is going to be with the big-time donors wanting a more buttoned up good ole boy that they are used to having run the show. I believe what he does on social media and talking a little trash is good for recruiting in this day and age of CFB. The people writing the big money checks to the program might not be so fond of how Lane Kiffin handles himself. Which is why I don't think he ends up replacing coach Saban

LK has shed a lot of that reputation over the past few years.

I'd take Kiffin for sure. I think we'd have more highs and lows with him, but he would win multiple championships at Bama.

Not this bullshite thread again.

I'm going to laugh when it's Jim Leonhard.

I’m starting to think you’re Jim the way you’re constantly talking about the guy.

I had a lot of reservations about Kiffin insofar is that he is a football savant but immature especially after his blowouts at Oakland, Tennessee, and USC. I wanted to see how he could handle himself and he seems to do that well now.
Kiffin is the one guy I can see not being intimidated by Saban's legacy

This.
Sark would be second.
Both have done very well at developing QBs and being innovative on offense.
And Kiffin knows where the QB should take the snap from on 4th and a yard to go.

Oakland was almost 15 years ago.
He didn't "blowout" at Tennessee.
USC was almost 10 years ago, and I can't recall any significant examples of immaturity there. Actually, I thought he got a pretty raw deal. USC was hit not just a 2 year postseason ban when Kiffin arrived...they also lost 30 scholarships over 3 years. I'd like to see anyone win anything of substance in any major conference while being handcuffed like that. In spite of that, he still won 10 games in 2011. And he never had a losing season there.

If the Auburn job is open and the Alabama job is not, then kiffin should take the Auburn job if he wants it. He has no obligation to stay away from Auburn simply because he was previously employed by Alabama
