Last 3 minutes of game, USCe has the ball after t/o on downs inside the 20. Fisher does not call a t/o (has 3 of them at this point), and allows a good 35 seconds run off the clock. Then after 3 plays, clearly in fg range, USCe goes for it on 4th and two, on a very lackluster play and fails.
AM goes all the way down, kicks the FG, gets onside kick and has a chance.
Those extra 35 seconds, or the other side, the extra 3 points, make all this a mute point.
Was all very questionable coaching decisions to say the least.
Les Miles type crap.

Yeah dumb decision not to kick the FG and I did question why A&M wasn’t calling timeouts there

I remember an instance where a poster made this mistake and tried to tell everyone he really meant to type mute because in the context he was using it, he meant that there was no longer a reason to talk about it.

Get the 1st there and the game is over. A blocked fg leads to an kick 6 situation. So I get the thought process. It was the exceution that failed. But sc should have called a TO to get the best play in.

It wasn't Auburn/Mizzou bad, but it was still bad.

That's what happens when your head coach is your OC, OL coach, and TE/WR coach. There is no one thinking big picture or clock management.

Jimbo is too busy flipping through his 500 page playbook and trying to tell Haynes King how he missed the 5th read check down on the crossing route after the inside LB gave a zone look pre-snap but then spied the RB running to the left flat. Gotta see that Haynes even with 3 DL in your face 2 seconds after the snap.
