That’s not what I said. I even specifically said that I’m not defending Burton. I’m just reporting what Saban’s comments were.

Burton and the other Bama players looked absolutely terrified as they casually strolled across the field after the game surrounded by people in orange. “He was scared.” Look at the video. There was no sign of fear. Bottom line, he didn’t kill anyone, so no problem.

Gotta disagree with you on this one, Tuscaloosestool.
This was battery. Her "trespassing" means nothing. He was unreasonable in his actions and even if he was "scared," he would have had to been scared of HER actions.
A reasonable human is not going to consider her actions of walking in front of him enough for him to hit her.
Doubt she presses charges, but there's certainly a case.
And Saban is a piece of shite for hiding behind the "scared" thing since she likely won't press charges. People claim he is raising these kids and making them "men," but time and time again we see his players do this type of stuff.

Sounds like to me there are a lot of fan bases here defending a girl that called a black football player the “N” word as she ran up to him just because he’s a Bama player. I knew there were a lot of closet racists in the SEC, but geez!
