I think Kelly needs this win bad against a top 10 team. I didn’t think we would be 5-2 so far, but I think that’s more of Auburn and Florida being down than anything. We aren’t great, but outside of special teams we are seeing improvement every week with this team and that’s due to coaching. We would smoke Florida St if we played this week imo. Tennessee was a mental disaster before the first offensive snap, yet it felt like we were still in the game until middle of the third quarter.

Your coach Kelly is an improvement over the last one you had?

He’s certainly an above average coach. Not a lot of success at the highest level of college football.

He has done an admirable job considering this is one of the least talented LSU teams in the last 25 years and his best player is a head case. LSU has benefited from AU and UF sucking but the on field results dont mean anything this year

I think after losing to ole miss and alabama you come limping into Fayetteville and get your arse kicked and the wheels fall off

Above average coach, and an improvement over Coach O.

Kelly is good coach.LSU is improving weekly after a roster shakeup. That’s all you can ask for at this point.

Same as it was. Top-10ish coach that’s prone to some head scratchers like everyone else. Gotta win a few big games

Kelly is a really good coach.

Given what he inherited, he's done a very good job. Really close to being 6-1.

It seems that LSU will have a very high floor under Kelly, and he'll probably win at least 9-10 games a year.

The main question is if he can really take LSU to elite championship levels. That will take time to answer.

He's lost the only game there's been any real pressure on LSU (Florida State). That's always been his problem.

You guys are going to be frustrated for the next 10 years and 95 million dollars.

That’s fair. I don’t think the coaching staff had any idea of what they had on both sides of the ball in that game though. Our second best player on defense right now isn’t getting full game reps so far. I expect that to change this week

He is doing what he needs to be doing. His teams seems to be improving week to week. If he keeps this up he will be (should be) considered a solid hire. We'll see if he can win a title.

There are no “much needed wins” at this point in Year 1 of his rebuild. He has already shown he has the program going in the right direction.

If he can pull it off, a winning record and a bowl game considering the burning pile of trash he inherited is not bad. He’s still a northeastern Yankee carpet-bagging snake oil salesman, though.

If you're referring to Boutte I don't think that's true. He's become a leader under Kelly and has really started to turn it around. A lot of fans were wrong about him.

That team and coaching staff had never played with each other, FSU is not a bad team, LSU's talent is definitely down and they were a missed XP away from forcing OT. I'm not sure how you can criticize Kelly for that but this is the Rant...
