Come on man. Do better.

He hit her. Don't care if it was open hand or not. There's a sport based off slapping where people get knocked out!

The back of the head is the most vulnerable area too. That's why it's illegal to punch a person in the back of the head in boxing.

But I think it's pretty fricking stupid acting like it's the same thing as someone who truly punches and physically assaults someone.

Was she even at all injured or harmed in anyway?

You are making excuses man.

Punched by a 200 pound pissed off football player? No.

I bet you also think Jan 6 was an insurrection trying to take over the entire country with a bunch of protest signs.

I'll pay 100% of her hospital expenses.

I mean cmon. He absolutely needs to be suspended. I don’t care if she said shite or not

Now the other video where the dude made a beeline to Burton just to block his path and throw a phone in his face probably deserved to get his arse kicked

I don't condone anything Jermaine Burton did, but until Alabama finishes their investigation, what more can Saban really say?

He says the storming the field "issue" is a difficult situation for the schools and conference to deal with. He says he doesn't condone mistreatment of anyone, whether they should or shouldn't have been on the field.

Until the investigation is complete and they decide what needs to be done, I don't think he can really say much more than that.

My guess is Bama attorneys told him not to say anything so he did his best to answer the question without answering it.

The girl was not hurt however there is no instance where a college football player or any man should hit a girl in any way. I bet Saban will punish him.

A football field is for people who are suppose to there on it,
not a bunch of drunk fans, it's not safe for players or coaches and refs when the rules are not follow. If you get hit
for not following the rules, it's your own fault...

‘But when I watched the video, he wasn't even facing her. And he certainly wasn't able to throw a punch from that angle.’

Very enlighted rationalizations.
Are you suggesting that Burton’s assault on the woman Vol ‘wasn’t really all that bad?’

Guessing your follow-on points are centered around,
‘she probably deserved it’ and the age-old favorite, ‘she might’ve enjoyed it’

This is some what true.

He can see the video and that Burton laid hands on her and that is the end of that.

Wow! Look at what Gump's have become. It's OK that a thug I root for hits a young lady bc she should not be there.

Sad

That's some Gump logic right there.

Bama players are entitled to punch fans because . . .

Wait for it . . .

It wasn't an insurrection.

What in the Sam fricking Hill are you talking about?

He can say a player should never strike a fan under any circumstances, and that any player who did is thrown the frick off the team.

Did Jermaine Burton do it? He will leave that to others. But if he did, that is his arse.

That's what any coach who isn't a piece of shite would say.

What exactly are people calling a hit these days? Because I am apparently out of the fricking loop on it.

To me, when you say someone hit someone, you are talking about a closed fisted punch. In which the person is facing the person they are striking, and it's done with a decent amount of force.

Now, I don't see how anyone could ever condone someone physically hitting someone after a game, especially a woman.

But when I watched the video, he wasn't even facing her. And he certainly wasn't able to throw a punch from that angle.

He did reach out towards her, that much is clear. And even that he shouldn't have done. But I think it's pretty fricking stupid acting like it's the same thing as someone who truly punches and physically assaults someone.

Was she even at all injured or harmed in anyway?

Are we really expecting Boogs and Corndogs to be objective about anything involving Alabama football?

Looks to me like Saban says he doesn’t condone it

I really can’t see what happened so I don’t know what level of action needs to be taken. However, COME THE frick ON, with your comment. Saban clearly is saying “oh well I mean I don’t condone anything but she shouldn’t have been there”

Dick should have let Michael Scott answer that one. “Don’t, under any circumstances, for any reason, ever do anything to anyone.”
