I just saw that. Hudson Clark to first team Safety.

Like the Clark move. The Mbake move just has to be needing bodies on defense for practice right?

Slusher out for the State game?

Year three and you're playing a legit WR at Safety
This is some Bert shite right here

Fouche and Brooks leaving was beyond killer for the secondary.

McGlothern replaced the loss of Montaric Brown as top corner and they got Brini to help with the depth at nickel/safety but couldn't possibly imagine all the injuries.
Catalon and Bishop out for season from basically game 1.
I know Bishop played after game 1 but his performance makes me think he was already injured coming into the season and didn't tell them trying to play.
Slusher nowhere near healthy but trying to play.
I'm not real sure how you fix the secondary but at least they are trying something different with limited bodies and unable to add to roster during the season.

I suppose no one offered NIL money

Returning to a 3-2-6 seems like a more reasonable change.
I don't think we'll get pressure with a 3 man front. But we didn't last year either and the defense was ok enough to win some games

This.
Not defending Odom by any stretch of the imagination, but this isn’t like Morris and his carousel of QBs. We run a DB heavy scheme and unfortunately that’s our most depleted personnel group due to injury by far.
I’d rather them try a number of combinations to see if something works rather than trot out the same positional alignment and defend it as “making progress.”
The coaches know it’s a problem and are trying anything then can, so I’ll give them that.

Yet the usual kool-aid drinkers were saying they wouldn’t have played anyway and it was no big deal. Meanwhile Brooks is making game winning interceptions at LSU and Foucha is factoring heavily into their backend rotation coming off suspension.
If I could magically bring back one guy from last year’s squad, it’d be Mo Brown or Brooks over Burks. We have offensive weapons on this team, meanwhile we’re in straight up “need warm bodies” mode on defense.

Would they though? If it was made known they would be starting they would still be here. Why would players playing their last year sit when they can start at LSU?

I think this is how everyone should feel.

Improves his chances of going pro. The NFL white CB went extinct around 2000.

So the secondary is our worst area so let's put 6 of them out there? Not sure I buy that logic. I'd say keep an extra down lineman in or bring in an extra backer. Don't add another bad secondary player to the field.

He hasn't played a snap at WR so not sure how we can say he's legit yet. This is probably just an experimental thing like when we practiced Dom Johnson at TE for a bit.
Would like to have Brooks and Foucha for sure but just find it odd all people want to point out is the interception that Brooks got and not the 4-5 other times during that game he was burned really badly just like our DBs have been.

Maybe the next game you follow that strategy but against State you have to have more secondary folks on the field. We have the defensive formula to beat them. No reason to deviate.

Who are even our top 6 secondary players now with all our injuries
